Using Line-1 out of SDR-Console to WSJTx Audio In

KD7YZ Bob

If I use the Line-1 VAC output of SDR-Console to the Audio in of WSJTx RC4, I always get delays over 1 second and sometimes 2.5 .

But if I use the Audio Out Codec of the radio to the same WSJTx, then all the dT times are 0.0 to 0.2 seconds.

Is this normal and can it be corrected?
I included a screenshot of what I mean.

What is the CPU load? When I run both SDR Console & WSJT-X, I run around 40% on my PC with VAC. I generally don't have issues unless I get above 60% CPU.

This behavior also parallels my using DReaM to decode Radio Marti with SDR Console and VAC.

the CPU "must" be his issue. I touched bases with Tom on the local repeater a while ago and he said that the AP-enable mysteriously showed up later on.

thanks for the help/advice

my bad, I have two questions going ...ANNNDD, I have to get moderator approval to post.

CPU, down on the bottom of the window, is showing circa 1.2%

You might want to look at Task Manager as it'll show the overall CPU usage; however, something seems to be awry with your PC setup. I've never had any issues with SDR Console and VAC, unless I am doing something like compiling or doing database work while using my SDR. But I also have an 8-year-old PC, so it's not the peppiest.

I fell for one of those ads for anatomical extension.

My house looks ridiculous now…

BobS, as u can see in the screenshot (SDR-Console_CPU) of process-manager, the CPU load appears low.

Note that for the last couple years I am running at least two iterations of WSJTx and one SDR-Console.

That said, it was only recently that I started to see a constant dT offset in FT8.
I can make a quick change in WSJTx "Audio" and set it to a particular rig. At that point the dT of all decodes comes back to 0->0.2 offsets and well within the sweet-spot. Put the audio back to a VAC and again the 2 second dT ranges.
