SDR Console freezes when used with Data Analyser

Hi,
After making an I/Q recording of a frequency band, when I want to play the recording from the data analyser, I can no longer start reception from the data analyzer. The receiver hangs, and freeze if I try to start it from the Console windows. I am using SDR Console Version 3.2 buid 2731. This behavior appeared suddely with version 3.1, and the switch to 3.2 did not change anything. 73 Mike (F1GOC) |

Hi Simon,
For your information, I can play an I/Q file directly from the Console. But the soft hangs if I play the file trough the Data File Analyser : Open, then select a xml file, The waterfall appears in the Analyser Window ; after selecting "Start", and clicking in the waterfall window to select the time/frequency, a message appears before stopping the currently running radio ; when cliking on "yes", then selecting a time/frequency in the analyser waterfall, both the console waterfall and the spectrum disapear from console and the soft hangs. 73, Michel |

OK,
Looked at this - the Analyser plays audio from files through the console correctly.
In the Analyser you select a .WAV when creating a new project, not a .XML. I've run though all the processing steps and it's OK, or at least it's OK here. I expect the problem is when stopping the radio, it does crash sometimes and I expect there's a bug in
this area which I'll try to find. It's a bad bug, I think I'm corrupting the stack as the program just vanishes.

Hello Simon,
I did a 6MHz wide I/Q recording last night for 6 hours. The result file is 1 Tbytes. And curiously, I can analyze it with the "data file analyzer" without difficulty.
Of course, I can't say that nothing has changed in my PC; but I did not reinstall SDR Console nor the OS. I just changed the SDR receiver.
