SDR Console does nothing when I connect to servers #sdrconsolev3 #sdrconsole
Hi,
How far away is the DUO from the shack? With remote TX there are ‘interesting’ latency issues. Do you have remote antenna switching?

Hi Simon, Thanks for the info. OK I understand. If you get underway with DUO support please let me know, Remote Operation is my main use for SDRC - I would be more than happy to help beta test if this is of any use to you (I have done a lot of beta testing for the RemoteHams.com (RCForb) guys in the past, so I know the drill). I would also be sure to make sure Millie is well fed for a while :) Keep up the great work. 73 -- - + - + -

Hi Simon, I have two use cases for Remote operation: * Re antenna switching: I dont have remote antenna switching on the DUO setup, but I might add something at a later date (not a huge priority for me at the moment)... My other rigs (such as a TS-990S) have all the built in Antenna switching I need for those purposes, accessible via Remotehams). In the case of the DUO and SDRC, Multiband resonant antennas are my solution for the time being, and will do what I need. |

I had the same idea as Pez, I bought a FDM-DUO due to the wrong information that SDR-Radio ist supporting FDM-DUO with remote RX/TX :-(
My final goal is to remotely operate my microwave transverters on a hilltop. I have a 100 MB sync internet connection on both ends. I am glad to do beta testing as well! 73! Fredi, HB9BHU |

Hi,
This year I must add remote TRX support. There will be some restrictions, for example the exact same DLL at the client and server, I can use checksums to ensure this. Maybe I will start after Easter…

Well,
I’ve been thinking about the main problems and now have these resolved, so it’s really just a question of the programming.

Urg,
Now I start the design I see it’s a lot more difficult than I thought ☹ . Will spend a day or so working out how it can be implemented.

Hello Simon,
This is extremely exciting news for many of us wishing to remote our ELAD FDM-DUO's. :)
I hope the challenges are not too hard to overcome. I am ready and willing to beta test for you if this will help.
Thanks again and best 73! Pez VK3PT |

Hi Simon, Did you get any further along with this implementation? Remote TRX would be a game changer for this radio :) 73 VK3PT |

Hi,
Only a few people would use it, and no – I’ve been taking a break from coding all day for the first time in almost 40 years!

OK, are you volunteering to make sure only licensed

Using a $23USD Baofeng didn't work out so well for this unlicensed user, as well as other RU commanders who
decided to use analog radios in a conflict: https://www.walesonline.co.uk/news/world-news/russian-commanders-killed-ukraine-invasion-23360033 73 Kriss KA1GJU |

Which conflict? This photo taken in the summer and NOT now.

What is to stop somebody from setting up a publicly
