Receiver Pan

Greetings,
Is there a way to minimize the SDRC main screen, but just have the receiver pane showing. I usually have a few programs (Multitask) open with SDRC that I want to have visible, but the main SDRC screen takes up much space. Any help or advise

Vincent

Not aware of a way to do this. Easiest answer to lack of screen space is to use a second monitor. Or a high res large monitor. Personally I prefer having two, one of which I operate in portrait (great for PDF docs) and for SDRC it's also great for the RX matrix too. You won't regret it.

Max,

Well I do have a large monitor, 50” OLED. It would be nice if Simon could make this possible? Thanks for your reply. Happy Holidays.

Hi Vince. Sounds good. By large, I mostly mean large in pixels as well as physical size, but yes, I hear your need. For myself I hardly ever run the receiver window at all. Just use SDRC main window on my main monitor and digimode software etc on the second monitor. I'm tempted to ask, is there much difference between SDRC main window with the DSP panels off, and the RX window on it's own?

I guess Simon might be able to do this, but I'm not aware of any window in SDRC that can be made to stay live when the main program is minimised. Dare say Simon will be along soon to say if it's possible. Maybe one option Simon might be able to offer as an alternative would be some storable/recallable layouts?

Hi Sigi,

I undock the receiver pane, but you  can’t minimize the main SDRC app or screen, if you do, the receiver pane also is minimized and off the monitor (:

Yes sorry.. I thought it would work but does not...
In normal i tune to the frequency to be used.. And overlay the digimode soft
Depending on Mode used i then push console on taskbar (most digimodes soft have their own spectrum view)

In short - no. If you minimise the program then all floating windows are also minimised.

Hi again Vince. What is the native resolution of the 50" monitor? Sounds odd that SDRC takes up so much space on 50" of real estate? Can't help thinking it (or Windows) is set to a low res/large zoom?

If you right click on blank area of desktop and look at "Display Settings", what is set for both "Scaling" and "Display Resolution"?

For example, my scaling is set to 100% and my 22" monitors are 1920x1200 resolution. I don't have any issue at all running SDRC on one monitor and all the digi stuff on the other, and yet I have somewhere around a quarter of the physical screen area that you have there. I am guessing that the 50" OLED is not a 4k monitor? Or it is 4k but you have the scaling set to larger than 100%? Or perhaps you have a need to display programs very large for some reason?
