Excellent Phil. Sorry to hijack the thread but your post reminded me of this
issue. And perhaps others who host SDRs for remote use have seen this issue or
can help with resolution.

I also an SDR-IQ on the air for a couple of months now. About every week or so
I find that the server application is running at 100% CPU utilization and is
non-responsive to incoming requests, also output status updates stop. This is
a dedicated server running windows 7. It would seem there is a bug in the
server application that is triggered when the radio is being used remotely -
but i have no idea what the issue is. The server application does not crash so
there is no crash dump to give any clues. Has anyone else running server
experienced this?

thanks,

Joe

100% utilisation is (obviously) a bug :(

I'll find it, be not afraid :)

Thanks Simon. I am sure you will find it. I just wanted to make sure the
problem was known.

I have been running it with a Softrock for about as long.

From time to time the computer freezes for 2-3 seconds, Task Manager shows nothing. Then just carries on, a few echoes at restart heard on monitor.
Also, occasionally I find it has unticked the Enable box.
Sometimes it takes a lot of time to reconnect, this may be the server.

XP SP3 2 core usually total CPU of around 7-8%

When I said "Task Manager shows nothing" I was wrong.
It does briefly show SDRServer.exe at around 98%.
This is when someone is connected.

It's a bug, I'll get my own server running so that I can find this.
