I need higher spectrum display on my IC-7610

Even when receiving an S9+20 to 30 dB ssb signal the display does not go up more than 3 or 4 bars (lines) on average. Is there a way to increase the height of the displayed signal?

Not sure what you mean - can you attach a screenshot please?
Maybe you need to adjust the spectrum scale: Ribbon Bar, View, Spectrum Scale.
