FCDPP is detected but fails to switch on with both SDR Console and SDR Sharp. Anyone got any ideas please?

David,
Did you check the Mic permissions in Win10 as I suggested, I don't know why it should matter but I found that without applications being given access to the Mic I got the exactly the symptoms you describe.
