No Autoput Power Pluto QO100

DM6TT Marcus

Hi guys,
I have a strange behaviour that I can't sort out and need your help.
My QO100 station was working without any problems for months now.
After Updating to SDR-Console 3.2 I had no output power (I don't know if  that was the reason, downgrding to 3.1 did not solve the problem)

When I switch on TX with Tune or Tone in SDR-Console I measure only about -55 dBm directly on the pluto
Drive set to 100.

The first strange thing I recocnized: In the Spectrum I normally see the Tune or Tone signal, but here nothing at all.

The spectrum of the output:

Do you have any hints why I see now signal in the Sepctrum of the tramsit window of SDR-Console?
Does someone have an idea why the TX is not working anymore?

Thanks

Marcus, DM6TT

Please attach a full screenshot, not just the TX part.

Don Woodward - KD4APP

Check the chip setting on the Pluto - I had a similar problem after upgrading the Pluto.

Check that you have a stable audio source connected to the TX DSP audio (mic) input. If no stable signal (ideally 48kHz source) on audio input you will see no tune or tone.

Hi Simon,
Here we are:
The input (SAT.LNB) is not connected.

OK,

  1. Close the audio window, takes away info from the Receive panel, I only see the top part of the Radio info on the left.
  2. Please Attach the image so I see all the info.

Hi Max,
the Windows Audio (MIC) setup was the problem, thanks.
I changed nothing in SDR-Console, but pressed ''Reset' in App-Audio dialog (Wiondows Setup, I have the German dialogs here, so I don't know exactly how they are named in the English version).
After that, I can see the Spectrum in the  Trasnmit DSP dialog in SDR-Console and the Tone and Tune is working as well:

Conclusion: If there is a messed up Windows Audio configuration SDR-Console will not send Tone or Tune as well.

Now, my Pluto delivers about -20dBm, I will investigate further on that.

First issue solved, thanks.

No problem Marcus. Glad we found the issue. I know this because I was also caught out some time ago with exactly the same problem.

Max,

Many thanks for helping, it's allowed me to get on with some coding.
