Main Receiver DSP Docking to the RHS
Nicholas Shaxted
Ok dear wise heads, I installed “SDR-Radio V3.1, 64-bit, 2022-04-12_1245” this morning and when I started it I asked it to remove the DSP panel so that I has only the rx window displaying. Normally the DSP panel sits to the left of the screen so imagine my surprise when I re-enabled it and it docked over the right-hand side (as per attached screenshot). I took this as a challenge to find out where the left/right switch was but after rather far too long playing I have decided to give up.
The question is a simple one. How do I persuade SDR-Console to display the DSP panel on the left-hand side of the Console window? I have tried choccy treats and pictures of cats..but decided I have missed something pretty obvious, Another cup of finely brewed tea methinks whilst I cogitate further.

Just click and drag the windows from the right to the left. Mind you, it's a docking window, so it won't dock were you want until the dark-blue hint-area shows up.

Thanks Gisle, but that is what I tried and it doesn’t work here. When I drag the DSP window to where I want it and all the arrowed windows appear it allows me to drop it in the correct place, but the whole receive window does not shift and the DSP just sits atop the left-hand edge of the rx window. The problem is that the DSP has become a floating window (again) and when asking it (very nicely) to become a docked window it pops back over to the right-hand side.
No matter what I do it seems only to want to dock only to the right-hand side. It didn’t think it was a bug but merely a simple user error made by a simple user.
FWIW The mouse is setup for use left-handed.
Nick - g4ogi For other amusement I have written PTO on both sides at the bottom of a blank piece of A4 paper.

Resizing is left as an exercise for the student. This us a very standard Windows GUI metaphor. {^_^} On 20220614 03:26:29, jdow wrote:

Sorry to raise it again, but anyone else got the problem of not seeing attachments when using the Group web interface?
I don't see any of the pictures attached in this thread! Max

Same here Max...not seeing attachments for this group using the web interface.
Checked other groups, including SDR-Radio-Test-Team, and attachments are displayed

Will check a bit later this morning. I expect we've run out of storage so need someone to throw stuff away...

Alan,
Already set. Lots of files in the group archive, I probably have to zonk a lot of these.

Thanks Max, I have tried all of that and am left with a floating panel. As soon as I click to dock it the panel flies back to the RHS and docks.
For now I will leave it as it is as I don’t have time/can’t be bothered at this stage chasing the issue down [I am trying to build some microwave kit for 3400Mhz, as well as manage the builders who making modifications to the house..]

Did you see my post with the pictures? (Or did they not make it?) This is a very standard Windows GUI metaphor. It's best to learn how to do it. {o..o} On 20220616 02:17:45, Nicholas Shaxted

I tried that. I move the DSP window according and it remains floating. I select “docking” and it flies back to where I started. I’m still in the school of thinking I am doing something wrong.
I’m in the middle of mounting my 3.4GHz feed and pre-amp on the dish and as there are no drag and drop Windows features I need to measure twice, tighten and measure again….and eventually start again. A spotting laser helps no end.
I’ll return to the Windows receiver issues next week once I am done fitting the hardware to the mast
Thanks all.

The only think I can think of is you're trying to dock it on the matrix window or one of the other windows that can come up. That may not work unless Simon found some magic. {^_^} On 20220616 03:18:25, Nicholas Shaxted
