First up for me, do we just install over the previous version without losing anything?

Hi Simon.
Installed over the version from 24.7.21 build 2310 The frequency locking on the QO 100 seems to stop working. LimeSDR USB, win10 I7. went back to above mentioned version and all is well... (did it 3 times, same results) TIA De Joe (4X1RV)

Ah,
Was testing this yesterday – must have been a very stable day for sun / temperature. Have just undone the change, will update the kit today.

Hi Simon
Thanks for the real fast reaction... version 2319 the 'lock' is still unstable.. And yes it's hot here and my LNB is not the most stable, but it used to work fine before (FT8 contacts as well). TIA de Joe.

OK,
I’ll check again tomorrow as I’m getting tired now. It’s locking OK for me, I can revert the code without any problem.

Hi Simon.
I think our messages 'crossed', it is the version checked yesterday evening and is not a stable lock on the beacon. (Just to make sure, I downloaded agai and installed.....) (message #63611) Going back to build 2310 from 24.7.21 is much better. Thanks for all the hassle (the 'lock' probably depends on how 'bad' the LNB stability is.) Joe.

Hello Simon,
There is no big difference between build 2319 from 17:54 and build 2319 from 06:11 (two releases with the same build number ?). The beacon sync is not as stable as it was with release 3.0.28. See also https://forum.sdr-radio.com:4499/viewtopic.php?f=71&t=1261 for some screenshots and a comparison to the behaviour with 3.0.28. 73 Jean DJ0VL

NO RAIN TODAY ... time for a dogwalk in the garden?!? (poking in your side a bit hi hi) i am waiting for the update :-) about the beacon (and stability) .... could the beacon receive chain (before you calculate the offset) have two narrow filters like used in rtty instead one wider filter like you use now?? that could add some robustness against the damned idiot who is disturbing the beacon regularly on sunday ... he is using a sweep upwards tone (and pulls the beacon lock away from centre) ... if your beacon lock would lock "only" on the psk signal (and could surpress steady tones ... be it up or downwards sweep or a steady tone) then the beacon lock would be more robust against those things we see (lucky its only on weekend ... mostly on sunday) if i find out who does those disturbance i would send him one or two parcels with some dynamite in it (just joking here!!) no idea if you can work something out against those disturbances of the beacon ... maybe watch all 3 frequencies (mid beacon plus upper and lower beacon) and if one is disturbed by a signal that your soft still looks (and locks) for the other two ?? you CAN lock also on the upper or lower beacon signal (your soft works also on those!!) but that guy is switching between all three ... lucky he can only disturb one at a time or he would need three setups ... so if your soft would look for all three signals it could be made more robust and still be very stable (just an idea from a dumb nut) greetz sigi dg9bfc
