I ran out of time. I must contact Lief; the interface doesn’t seem to be documented.
Why not use WSJT and a VAC?

Hello Simon,
nice to see a new version.
Unfortunatelly I have not seen any feedback to MAP65 Interface.....
Any plans?

Hi,
It is possible – I did it in version 1.

Hi Simon,
ok thank you.
VAC does not work with proper bandwith.
With Linrad I am not happy.
If not possible, forget it.

MAP65 reads any signal in a 90 kHz window and creates a kind of band map of everything decoded, you don't need to be on the exact frequency to decode.

MAP65 doesn't accept the audio output from the audio card, so it isn't just about BW.
It works with IQ data, either from a sound card or through the network.

How much BW does it need? I've used VACs at ~90 kHz BW (192 kHz sampling) no problem.

and pluto works superb even an slow machines ... grin
dg9bfc sigi
ps since a few (test) versíons cpu load seems a bit higher ...
any idea??

Hello Bob,OK I see. SDRC has a "data repeater" that makes the raw I-Q samples available programmatically via a DLL, but I guess MP65 can't use that. So you need something like what SDR# or HDSDR offers, a "raw" I-Q output to the audio output.
MAP65 doesn't accept the audio output from the audio card, so it isn't just about BW.
It works with IQ data, either from a sound card or through the network.
Bob NO6B
Yes, that is an option. Indeed I use SDR# but it is not that efficient.
Optimal would be to have the network protocol that was included in SDRC Version 1.
I do understand, though, this is a feature for few people. I'm not sure if extra food for the dog can help...

It's a question of:
* The Map65 data format isn't clearly documented. From memory it's
illogical, Leif (LINRAD) knows what it is.
* I have to setup a test environment for this.
* The old v1 code is archived away on DVDs which are in the attic of my
house.
* Time - I can't do everything, I'm actually prioritising my own on-air
activity above coding atm.
