SDR-Radio, IC-7300, HRD and WSJT-x

Hello everyone,

I have a new Icom IC-7300 with the installed PTRX-7300 module to output via a SDR Play RSP1A to a larger monitor for panadapter use. My problem is that when using sdr-radio v3 along with HRD, and WSJT-x, I can't get WSJT-X to activate TX via the IC-7300 internal sound device. SDR-Radio controls the IC-7300 via OmniRig perfectly. I use 2 virtual ports per VSPE so SDR-Radio can talk to HRD. This combination of programs works perfectly when using SDR Uno.

I just can't figure out why I can't get WSJT-X to activate TX via the internal sound device in the IC-7300 when SDR-Radio is used instead of SDR Uno.

I have a Yaesu FT-950 that would work with both SDR-Radio and SDR Uno when using a Signalink USB soud card.

Any suggestions out there. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Just out of curiosity, can you enable PTT of the 7300 if using any of the digital modes within DM780 ?

Hi Andrew,

Good suggestion. I can't enable the PTT in DM780 with listed combination of programs. Like I said previously, I use 2 virtual ports to allow SDR Radio to talk to HRD. When connecting HRD via the virtual serial port to SDR-Radio I use the connect protocol of the Kenwood TS480. This is suggested by the folks at SDR Play. When I try to transmit with DM780 I get an error with the TS480 connection.

I think I'll take a step back and ponder on this some more.

Thanks again,

Brad
