Bad taste!  While I do see the sincere attempt at humor in these horrible times, there could very likely be members here suffering with COVID-19, or have very close loved ones who are.  This is just a personal opinion, but I certainly wouldn’t want to be hanging in life’s balance concerning this wrath, and have a friend jokingly asking me for my possessions.

 

Again, just y own two-cents and worth exactly what you paid for it,

Sorry folks, but I'm with Dewey.
Over on the TS-590 groups site we had members posting the latest Covid-19 Memes to which they thought would brighten somebody's day.
Here was my post:

Spamming all 2632 members of the TS-590 groups.io site with Fakebook Memes is NOT what this site is for. More importantly, how would you react
if somebody you love is stricken with the virus and denied treatment due to an overwhelmed hospital and succumbs to the virus. Looking at the ages of hams at local clubs and flea markets, I would put a large percentage of hams in the 'danger zone'.
From the CDC site: 80% of deaths associated with COVID-19 were among adults aged ≥65 years with the highest percentage of severe outcomes among persons aged ≥85 years.

When it's all said and done (year from now?), there will be plenty of TS-590's and IC-7300's available from estate sales from this aging group.

As of this AM there are 6,615 members in this group, of all walks of life, all over the globe. What might be humorous in the USA just might not be so welcome in Italy. We are only a few weeks behind Italy, and more populous, our hell is only about to begin... look at NYC.

We probably all have moments of black humour in the current circumstances, but one man's joke is another's bad tatse bordering on offensive.. and we don't know who on the list might have close relatives currently seriously ill with the virus.

It's different on e.g. Twitter which we all know can be a bear pit at times, but I think we need to be a lot more circumspect on hobby mailing lists.
