Sdr console already does this. Switch it to multiple receivers. I use 2 virtual sound cards to feed 2 different decoders.

i have another option :-) i use dsp-filter (from makito mori ... look for mmana, mmsstv, mmtty ... and you should also find its audio dsp software) that takes the audio (in my case from vac) and after filtering sends it to speaker there are some nice filters already preprogrammed ... and you can
built 6 user filters (i made 6 different noise surpression
filters) if you in ALL MODES use that filter in parallel you then have the audio on the vac line (towards your digimodes soft) and ... on the speakers (processed or not depending if on or off)...there is a trough option so no processing if you wanna hear raw audio so ... it is near the same as using the audio repeater software ... besides it adds some nice filters in the audio chain :-) THAT is a good solution ... works fine ... and does not eat up tooo much cpu power greetz sigi dg9bfc

This subject keeps coming up over and over again ("how do I route to VAC and listen at same time") so this would make it so simple...... Personally, I now don't have a particular worry. I use only one receiver on qo100 - (plus the default one for the beacon) Seems the easiest way ist to try the "listen to ..device" proposal first. Thanks and stay healthy . Charly, DF5VAE |

a subsequent messages made it clearer. Windows does not really make this possible in a clean manner. Contemplate what slightly different audio sample rates might mean for two different outputs on one audio source. One or the other will lag the other more and more over time until skips and jumps are heard.

in windows you can set in the recording setup to "listen to this device" ... means you can switch to virtual cable but still have the sound on the speakers hth dg9bfc sigi ps if you wanna use freedv or similar that option has to be switched off again!! Of course if you have two (or more) VACs each individual "virtual" receiver can have it's own destination. Many people here run like that with one cable to FT8 on one band, another to WSJT, another to speaker out etc. etc, all within the hardware bandwidth of the SDR of course.

I have requested multiple switchable audio outputs from Simon and he has it on his list. In the meantime see this very useful prog (recommended by someone on here earlier...... apologies, no time to look to see who it was): https://vac.muzychenko.net/en/repeater.htm Allows you to select VAC or VB-Audio as output on SDRC then monitor that source in speakers/headphones. Very neat little prog from the author of VAC. You can also "listen" to the VB-Cable or VAC in Windows Sounds Settings but it is cumbersome and not as neat. 73 Max |
