SDRServer (V2) Wont Auto Start in Win10

Colin Snow

I am stumped. I can't get SDRServer (V2) to auto start after Win10 login.

What I've done:

  1. Run: shell:startup
  2. Placed a shortcut to it in the Windows > Start Menu > Programs > Startup folder
  3. Changed the Advanced Properties of the shortcut to "Run as administrator"
  4. Restart Windows
Any suggestions for other changes?

BTW - I also tried Elevated Program Shortcut without UAC Prompt - Create (link below) and not luck either

Colin,

Server UI or service? There’s no need to start the UI when the system boots, I’ve never tried to start a program requiring Administrator privileged on system startup – I’ll do this with V3.

If by Server UI you mean SDRServer.exe, then yes.  I have a dedicated server for it with nothing else running on it.

If it will work with as service, then please let know what that service is and how to enable it.

PS - I can do this on an identical server with Perseus (\PerseusV5alpha) - perseussvr.exe and it starts just fine.

My ultimate goal is to have V3 server running on two servers - one with Perseus for HF (dedicate antenna) and one with SDRPlay for VHF/UHF (dedicated antenna) and access either with a V3 Console.

OK. I got it. I didn't see the file "SDRServerService.exe" in the folder.

I referenced that in the batch file explained in Elevated Program Shortcut without UAC Prompt - Create and it works fine.

Now I'm just waiting on V3 server so I can use one program.

Thanks for your great program Simon!
