Hello,
I agree with Paul. I am using SDR Console V3 with my RSP2 on a daily basis since it is supported. I have not encountered any issue so far. Brilliant piece of software! And IMHO: If authors would stick to modelling full featured transceivers/receivers evolution would come to a stand still...
Cheers,
Frans

Where is that coming from (Google)?

While I too am a fan of HDSDR, I find SDR-Console V3 works just fine with RSP2 and on a laptop. In fact, I use V3 almost exclusively on my Thinkpad X1 Carbon laptop with either the touchpad or the Thinkpad Trackpoint. To tune to a specific frequency, tap on the waterfall. To tune up or down within the sampled bandwidth, scroll either way with whatever pointing device you are using. I don't see any material difference between tuning on V3 vs. HDSDR. In fact, I find V3 to be simpler and more intuitive than HDSDR because you don't have to worry about the "local oscillator". Buggy integration in V3 with RSP2? I have found no bugs at all after updating to the current build. My only complaint is that where SDRUno stores the antenna selection with a stored memory channel, V3 does not. On the flip side, V3 stores the displayed bandwidth and SDRUno does not. Paul Paul Goelz Rochester Hills, MI pgoelz@... www.pgoelz.com

Mark, - I assume you downloaded from my website?
- What operating system – W10?
- What’s in these popups – there really shouldn’t be any other than the suggestion that you create a radio definitions. Maybe add a screenshot of a popup? I’m getting a bit worried that there’s malware or intrusive anti-virus running.
All-in-all, if you install the software everything the operating system needs is installed at the same time (C++ runtimes). From W7 through to W10 you’re good to go. Simon Brown, G4ELI www.sdr-radio.com

Paul and others,
Although I find V2 and V3 very impressive pieces of software, I
find that they aren't modeled after a full featured
transceiver/receiver.
I find that the RSP2 integration is quite buggy for the time
being. HDSDR is quite friendly.
Just being able to access the EXTIO "front end" to directly
control RSP2 settings is a joy.
And "spinning the dial" like any piece of desktop amateur radio is
capable of only requires a short learning curve with SDRPlay
sponsored software.
The hinted laptop computer support (or lack of) and need for an
external VFO, mouse, etc. has hindered my use of V2,3.
I like to use my laptop for mobile use, so keeping things
compact is of importance.
Scan and store in banks would be nice, for HF and VHF.
I believe from reviews that the RSP2 radios are selling like
hotcakes and many owners like me are looking for alternate SDR
interfaces to use.
Not exactly a Ferarri that has to go to the shop every week, but
something that we can take out and drive and know we will make it
back home.
..not positive what a 2CV is but if it involves Lucas
electrics, i'll break out in shivers. guess Google is my friend!
My donation would be based on making things I feel as important
"must haves" jumping out in front.

The software will ask for Microsoft C+ of various flavours to be
installed if not already there, but that's it so far as I know.
