CAT for SDR-Radio-Com?

Hi Simon,

Do you still have CAT control scheduled for SDR-Radio-Com?

SpectraVue works extremely well as a panadaptor for my TS-850, but I’m really looking forward to using SDR-Radio.

Hi,

Yes – Cat control is already in the console: http://www.sdr-radio.com/Specification/CATCommands/tabid/317/language/en-US/Default.aspx

I’ll add telnet support, maybe today.

Sadly I’m losing time due to my mother’s death, will be away on Monday for over two weeks.

Does this mean I could have control of my K3 and IF attached SDR-IQ from your program and no longer need to use SpectraVue.

Is it possible in future releases to allow the user to define the CAT connection speed instead of being fixed at 57,600 kbps. I would like to use the CAT at 9.6 kbps.

Hi Simon,

Will it be possible to control the sdr-radio console frequency from the MAIN or SUBVFO of the radio (Elecraft K3 in my case)

This will allow to use the sdr as a panadapter or an "integrated" subreceiver (sdr following sub vfo qrg).

I guess it will be easy for you

Thanks in advance

Simon I probably did not explain clearly.

I have a program called RoMac Automatic Cw Identifier that I use with my Anan 7000DLE. I have the program working with the Anan using Thetis. I can not get it working using SDR Consolev3.

The id program has various interface options to use to work with different radios. I use the Flex option signal to radio , a serial port to key the radio and a option Switch to USB/VAC/Data Audio to interface the cw audio call sign to the Anan radio with Thetis.

I have tried several interface options with the RoMac id program to get it to work with SDR Console and can get the Anan to transmit but can not get the cw id audio from the sound card routed to the Anan. When the Anan keys the audio I hear is feedback audio from the mike that is manually chose on SDR Console as the audio input on the front panel.

I am not sure if there is another step in Console I need to take or a different setting in the id program.

Thanks for any input.

Cecil

Indeed that is a big request - Cecil, over on the TestTeam list there is at least one person who is very particular about clicks or ticks in the audio, even if they are a long time between. I believe he is working with sensitive protocols on EME links. Others who could be annoyed are the SSTV folks.

These long period ticks are due to subtle frequency errors between sound cards and front ends. It is a serious effort to get one front end and one sound card speaking happily without any ticks, ticks your ear could easily ignore but digital protocols won't. A tool called a resampler is needed and they almost always work with fixed ratios. Temperature drifts and imprecise knowledge of frequencies suggests some form of phase lock is needed. And that is NOT at all easy to achieve. Adding in another switched port that has to be brought into synchronism is asking a serious lot.
