Hi All,
Update: https://www.dropbox.com/s/jm7kr6ol8nut1jo/Simon%27s%20World%20Map%202018-09-11.exe?dl=0
I’ll add the BugTrap / crash diagnostics later today, then I’ll update the web page.
To see what’s new just look through the ribbon bar options.

Any plans for the vast empty darkness to the right of the great circle display? ie clocks, propagation data, satellite, moon or sun AOS/LOS azimuth/elevation data, etc?
Just thinking out loud... LOL Looks great on the screen, especially the standard map. Who has the money to buy one? Starting at $1995!!! https://www.google.com/search?rlz=1C1OKWM_enUS781US781&biw=1600&bih=709&tbm=shop&ei=4pmXW6S6IuiIggfAqpOoBA&q=geochron+world+clock&oq=Geochron&gs_l=psy-ab.1.1.0l6.13785.16334.0.19447.11.6.0.0.0.0.85.370.5.5.0....0...1c.1j2.64.psy-ab..9.2.163....0.MYYmr0dqKHU Cheers! I may write a nice Analog clock or something or whatever or … Simon Brown, G4ELI www.sdr-radio.com ===================================== ... or if you can't wait, or you want just the analog clock part, there's my free Tiny Ben program, which does analog and digital and can live just in the system try, should you wish. It's at the bottom of this page: https://www.satsignal.eu/software/disk.html#TinyBen Right-click the clock when running to see the options. 73, David GM8ARV -- SatSignal Software - Quality software for you Web: http://www.satsignal.eu Email: david-taylor@... Nice work Simon. 1) Bubble Offset time missing positive or negative sign 2) Home= label "Tittle" name of the station to be located just under the situation circle because on Zoom 1000 the name is very far from the place Best regards Bernard |

hmmm seems as it only works on wide screens regardless if in fullscreen mode or not ... only upper part is shown on screen in "sized" window i can see a black area below the map ... so i thought zoom it up a bit ... but the clock is NOT printed on lower border (you soft thinks i have a smaller screen) hmmm my guess is that your soft only looks for width of the screen but not the height evenn zoom up to 200% does not help (on lower third of the screen a black area (above afrika and brazil when in zoom 200%) greetz sigi

Sigi,
I ask Windows how big the monitor is. As I wrote before, somehow you’ve confused Windows 😊 .

You can already do this.. Right click on the right side of the ribbon outside of the icons and choose Minimize ribbon.

Minimizing the ribbon bar doesn't appear to buy you anything. The map stays the same size and doesn't grow to fill the space taken up by the ribbon bar.
Also, Simon how about moving the +/- 1 and 15 min and Current Time buttons from the Offset menu and putting them on the ribbon bar so we down't have to open a separate window that obscures most of the map? +/- 15 min and 1 hr would be more useful. 1 minute increments are barely visible. Finally, when I do open the Offsets window, I can increment the time with the buttons and change the date, but when I close the window to see the effect on the terminator it reverts back to the Current Time setting. I can't click on the map to give it focus and cover the Offsets window, so it appears to be of little practical use. All the more reason to move the +/- and Current time buttons to the ribbon bar. 73, Ken VE3HLS On Tue, Sep 11, 2018 at 4:34 PM, Rick Ellison <rellison@...> wrote:

Maybe overkill but seeing how many hams need accurate timing for their ham radio work maybe a clock along the lines of
BKTtimesync or simular would be worth including?
That way it would keep our computers accurate for WSJT modes etc. I like BKT as it has a GPS option.
I know this is overkill from the way I first envisioned your map/clock which was as a nice wall piece more for decoration than function but as with all of your programs they tend to develop a life of their own as with HRD. As many of us run multiple monitors
we could still have the clock as a pretty wall clock on one monitor but also have it controlling the time for our radio work too.

Hi Paul,
I was thinking about using a NTP server to get the time absolutely spot-on.

No chance to shift (pan) the map when zoom is more then 100 %?
You only can see the stations around your Home QTH when zoomed, but nothing from the rest of the world. That's a pity. 73s, Henry |

Another question:
Does somebody have a source for more up to date bdy.txt files? europe-bdy.txt still e. g. shows the German Democratic Republic and former Yugoslavia. Unfortunately I only found the old files from 2000 in in CIA WDB. 73s, Henry |
