Pleased to hear your Andrus is a goer Dan. Once you realise about the gain selection glitch it becomes automatic to knock it down and up each session. I had issues with audio buffering on all my SDRs

Hi Daniel I bought an Andrus a few years back, said to be from a house clearance, and replaced the short circuit network chip and much to my surprise it then worked perfectly. I think I paid about £60

The R390A is one I still need to try out. It is somewhat of a lightweight pound for pound though compared with say the DST100 which tunes down to 50KHz and uses a VP41 RF amplifier to handle 10V RMS s

Same here Nick. I had lots of intermittent problems lately and found disk errors marked in the system logs corresponding timewise to the problems. The pair of 525GB SSDs in RAID carried on regardless

Agreed.. you always then get a log message about the PC unexpectedly stopping or rebooting with no indicated reason. When my processor hit 125C the other day and BSOD that was the message in my logs.
