Piping Inmarsat Aero msgs from JAERO to PlanePlotter?

allen KC2KLC

I am getting good Inmarsat message decodes in JAERO from Inmarsat-4 F3 [AOR-W] (using an RSP1A), but can't figure out the settings to get the data piped to PlanePlotter (although I can get PlanePlotter to decode ADS-B messages just fine via Dump1090). I've set JAERO to output to UDP localhost:8765, and the PlanePlotter Options set to TCP/IP server enabled on port 8765 (with both "UDP/IP data from net" and UDP/IP audio from net" checked in the Input Data section). I've tried both the "Connect RX bitstream" and "Output raw data to UDP" buttons (together and separately), yet nothing shows up in PlanePlotter. Anyone have experience with this type of decoding that can provide assistance? Thanks!

Low Impedance Loop shootout 2

Paul Cianciolo

Hello All,

Before I build the final version of my outdoor "LIL" I wanted to experiment with one more material, hardware cloth.
This video compares the 2 loops and determines which is the better material before the final outside build.
Here is a shootout between the original and the new version.

#feature (Audio Oscilliscope with 20 milli-second span) #feature

Donald Kirk

A very useful feature for those of us that track down radio frequency interference would be an Audio Oscilloscope display when in AM mode in which the horizontal axis (time axis) displaysd 20 milli-seconds of time.  This feature would allow us to capture the signature of arcing powerlines.  Many of the newer ham radios that are SDR based offer this feature with an adjustable horizontal axis time base, and this type of audio oscilloscope feature is very useful.

BINGO...problem solved.
I Google some similar problems related to the graphics in question.
Recalled that the problem appear November 2020.
Went to my Display adapters where I have Intel UHD graphics 620 and NVIDIA GeForce MX150 listed.
Checking the driver properties noticed that NVIDIA drivers were updated November 2020, and this are the latest drivers.
Rolling back the old NVIDIA driver from 2019 solved the problems.

Simon, thanks for the support...

What about the MX150 driver – updated? Using the Geforce driver?

Checked BIOS, by default the MX150 was active, confirmed, saved and the same problem.
It should be related to the notebook video or rendering as the same SDRC running on old HP desktop machine working properly.

In your BIOS find out which card is active. Select the MX150.

Hello Simon,

thanks for the quick reply.
Minimising/maximising makes the things even worst. I am losing all buttons and can recover only RX buttons when hovering with the mouse pointer over it.

Hi,

Try minimising then maximising – the buttons at the top right. Does this help?

Hello guys,
59-001-JN75BB

Apologies if this topic was discussed earlier, I was not able to find nothing related to this topic.
When loading the latest version of SDRC on my notebook the GUI is not loading complete.
As per attached photo, the spectrum is missing, RX frequency, TX frequency buttons.
No matter the radio selected, same problem.
When I hover over the spectrum window and the frequency window I get them both but not the buttons in the TX window.
Running the Direct-x diagnostics everything looks OK, closing diagnostic screen I am loosing most of the buttons on GUI and hovering over the windows nothing is coming back.

This is odd as SDRC use to work nice, I made descent qso-s on 23cm and 13cm using the PLUTO in the past.

PC setup:
Operating System: Windows 10 Enterprise 2016 LTSB 64-bit (10.0, Build 14393) (14393.rs1_release.210303-1802)
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-8250U CPU @ 1.60GHz (8 CPUs), ~1.8GHz

Running the direct-x report I get two cards??

Display Devices

---------------

Card name: Intel(R) UHD Graphics 620

Card name: NVIDIA GeForce MX150

       Manufacturer: NVIDIA

Thanks for any hint,
Adam, 9A4QV

VLF Sunrise Sunset effect at VLF using SDR and "LIL" Low Impedance Loop

Paul Cianciolo

Hello All,

Several folks have asked about the propagation at VLF frequencies.
Here is a video I made about a specific VLF propagation mechanism.
Take a look at the Sunrise and Sunset effect at 40.750 KHz
Using the AirSpy Discovery, the "LIL" Low Impedance Loop, SDR Console V#3 and Radio SkyPipe recorder.

Re: 3.0.27 Update

Short answer.. No.. Or not yet
In tx window you see the virtual qrg.. Means the rx frequency synced to txbox
Simon sure could change it.. When txing the real tx qrg shown while when rx shows the rx qrg in the tx box

Hi Simon,

Is the 3.0.27 release planned for any time soon, or you still plagued by the bodgers builders?  My new RX-888 MkII is eagerly awaiting it's chance to demonstrate its prowess.

TX frequency stabilisation for pluto #request #pluto #satellites #qo100

Andreas

Just an idea:
SDR Console syncs the RX-frequency with the Geostationary Satellite Beacon - Plugin. - Well done!
I dream about the same for the TX-frequency (as we know, the frequency stability of pluto is very poor):
If we compare the spectrum of the sent message with the spectrum of the received echo, we should be able to determine the drift.
Ok, we must correct the echo-spectrum with the propagation-time (via cross-correlation).
This drift can adjust the TX-frequency.
Do you have an interface for plugins, so that I can try to add such feature?

Memory Channels

milairuk

I have 2 PC's running SDR Console V3. I want to copy all the memory definitions from one to the other. I can do this with save / load an xml file, but the PC I copy to does not keep the new frequencies and always restarts with those originally stored. Anyone know a way to access the default memories ?
