Simon's World Map
Simon,
The next time you decide to update your World Map app, can you set up a way to shift the Title Tags to either the right as they are now, or to the left? This will allow the tags to placed a bit more out of the way of locations one would want to see. Thanks! -- Mike |

Expiration question 3.0 build 1181
Russ Johnson
Hello,
I have V 3.0 build 1181. It was compiled on Jun 21, 2018 and expiration Jun 21, 2020. Does this mean that the software will stop working on Jun 21, 2020? The reason I ask is that I thought I saw a FAQ that said the software wouldn't expire but just keep running. So I was a bit confused by the expiration notation on the software. I would appreciate it if anyone could clarify that for me. Thank you!! |

Auto-repeat is a *legacy* Windows feature, a Stone Age abomination invented for dumb terminals and early OS keyboards before anyone thought of adding modifier keys besides Shift.
Auto-repeat is slow (maybe dozens of key-press events instead of 2, 3 or 4), resource-greedy (Windows messages), imprecise (without a target it's trial-and-error), prone to overshoot, and (most importantly) makes you look really stupid like Dilbert's Boss.
Auto-repeat is for lazy critters who can't be arsed to learn how to do a job properly (quickly, efficiently, predictably, accurately, and safely).
My use of it is restricted to days when I feel more brain-dead than usual, or had too much to drink. The latter too often ends with falling asleep over the keyboard and buggering up my document with 4 GB unwanted body text.

Updated my MB & yes, all Retevis websites come up with a Trojan. Strange. Only one that works is Alixexpress, of course.

I have not gotten a hit with MB from it at all. That's confusing.
Looks like a good little QRP Shackinthebox. I have looked over many receiver specs & yes, they are lower, but all I find are specced with preamps on. Also, this may be the FM spec, which is usually higher. Just wondering. Ed |

Or the other way around perhaps, with double tap Shift to bring up the Freq dialogue, because Ctrl+ (Key) is used for so many other Windows functions.

Would also (Simon?) possibly clear the way for keyboard shortcut to zoom the waterfall/spectrum display with the Windows standard key combo Ctrl + (Numpad+/Numpad-), like Google Maps and many others for example? Max On Sun, May 24, 2020 at 10:47 PM, bob550 wrote:

Cannot connect to Spyserver
#airspyr2
John Boyle N8JJO <n8jjo@...>
Hi, still trying to connect SDR Console to my Spyserver/AirspyR2/Spyverter. I have uninstalled program, have reset program, have tried a new identity. SDR Colsole finds my Spyserver, but I continue to get "Radio not found or definition invalid" on the Radio Select screen. This Spyserver does work perfectly with SDR#. Screenshot attached.
Any assistance greatly appreciated! 73 John N8JJO |

ELAD DUO - TX Support
Hi,
After an e-mail exchange with ELAD engineers I now know that TX support for the nice DUO transceiver is indeed possible, Once ELAD is able to ship and I have time I’ll add this – looks like it could be quite easy.

Yep ! I know that SDR-Console is the best out there so insisted ...and probably soved ... the problem was in the SPF-08 pre-selector. I connected the antenna directly to the S2 and removed the SPF-08. All is now working great ! Does this make sense? |

Re: Possible Fix For Stuttering / Slowdown

Hmmm... Totally opposite of the issue I had before Simon spent a week on the Server software. I had to open a browser (Chrome) and surf the web for stutter free audio/video. But since his rework of the Server software, not an issue anymore, In fact I can run a server via WiFi, both on the host and client computer and still no issues. Even from a hotel WiFi too!
