GE, remember to inhibit the mouse tuning in the blue bar below fine tuning.

Often when changing the spectrum window width if clicking with the mouse over the blue bar below the fine tuning it moves the actual channel. 73 Phil@IC8POF

Scheduled recording tuning problem
Giampiero Bernardini
Ciao, I have a problem with scheduled recording.
When I try to schedule an IQ recording session, my SDR-radio (also 408) starts to record at the wanted time but it doesn’t tune the receiver on the wanted frequency. It record only on/around the current frequency.
(The recording starts only if the SDR-Radio is on, instead with Spectravue the rec starts even if it is on stop)
I used the Calendar procedure. Did I forget some trick?
XP - 1,6 GHz Pentium dual core – SDR-14
Thank you Giampiero

Ah,
Thanks - am actually working in the tuning bar area this evening as there's a bug lurking down there.

Woof Woof! 408 runs here fine. The horizontal scroll bar on the bottom is still kind of weird. If you put your mouse on it and press it down it jumps freq. and then goes back to where you can move the range up or down in freq. It looks like you made it to show the width of the spread of the display.....
Add a buglette....Smoothing value not remembered in Spectrum Scope when SDR is closed and reopened.

Re: SDR Console does'nt play my recording wave files ...
Simon HB9DRV <simon@...>
Hi,
I've been working on this, it will be OK in the next kit and also supports SpectraVue.
For 'commercial' reasons I do not support Perseus - for now.

Sent: Thursday, 9 September, 2010 8:52:44 Subject: [sdr-radio-com] Waterfall "Automatic colour scaling" A couple of comments on build 404...
I'd like to turn off the waterfall's automatic colour scaling (I don't like the way the "colour agc" works every time a signal appears, I'd rather it just stayed constant). I can see the button to deselect auto scaling in the settings, but once turned off how do I adjust the range manually, since clip & gain are disabled with Auto turned off? I'm sure I *used* to be able to do it... A feature I'd like to see is a one-shot auto scale, which works really well in spectravue. When playing back an IQ data file, it'd be useful if the waterfall/spectrum could be automatically adjusted to the bandwidth of the data file (and centred appropriately). At the moment it takes a bit of faffing to sort it out every time a file is played :) Any chance the show/hide state of the "Ribbon" can be stored between invocations please? Generally, getting better and better - congrats Simon :D 73, Mark G4PCS |

No Audio via web server
Andrew <gm0udl@...>
Hello All,
Impressed with the newer version on the software Simon. Like the new tuning via scroll mouse on second screen better waterfall etc. It has made me use my sdr for recieving as well as using it as a panadapter hooked up to the 2000. Waiting for rig support for my FT2000. Question is what am I missing I can't recieve any audio via the web server on some of the remote radios I tried. I also asked some of the local hams to try my sdr via the website but no audio. If somebody connects to me using sdr radio software with Ip and password etc it works no problem. Ideas.. Also if anybody wants to use my sdr for any testing I may be able to help with the various antennas here from 160 to 10m, send an e-mail.. Andrew GM0UDL |

Re: Console filter width , bug or reality ?
Simon HB9DRV <simon@...>
Hi,
I can understand that - a filter width of 380Hz is OK. Also I will (hopefully) be improving my RTTY decoder while on holiday. I know what I want to do, just need to do it.
Also a 250Hz crystal filter will be much wider than a 250Hz digital FIR filter. If this is the K3 filter then you'll find it's actually ~ 350Hz or so.

Console filter width , bug or reality ?
ic8pof
GE Simon and All.
Just playing in the shack for more tests with the sdr-iq. In the pic below is shown in parallel MMTTY audio from my rig with the narrow 250hz filter in rtty\lsb and the sdr-iq via the 2nd IF to the DataDecoder. Both work OK. A strange thing: cannot tighten the sdr-iq filter below 370\380hz even if RTTY shift is at 170hz otherwise the DD does not decode anymore. What happens ? http://groups.yahoo.com/group/sdr-radio-com/photos/album/1050649225/pic/342550827/view?picmode=&mode=tn&order=ordinal&start=1&count=20&dir=asc 73 Phil@ic8pof |

Good news, I would like a TS-590, don't forget my FTDX-5000 (with 300Hz filter) please :)

I am not sure if there will be a good way of extracting a wide IF on the TS-590S. I have one on order so will know soon. It is my understanding that the IF is in the 11 MHz range and always the same. If there is easy access, then I might make a board for it. There is nothing on TX side from our end yet.
