I am experiencing that my "ol"AMD 3200 is getting busiest with b492 Console than with previous versions , say b416. I am speaking for the COnsole only as the server on the second pc AMD2000 runs always at +- 15% of the CPU. What do you think? 73 Phil@IC8POF |

On my system the 'Resolution' slider adjusts the Waterfall speed
fine... except for what I mentioned earlier. At the slower
resolutions it halts and breaks up the audio. Is that supposed to
happen? I have not played with the lengthy I/Q files. Perhaps that
is the way you create them.

But would it be possible to make this button very accessible, like in Spectravue? May be simply a left or right mouse click on the spectrum? 73 Paul PD0PSB --- In sdr-radio-com@..., "ic8pof" <ic8pof@...> wrote:

Yes, it's either soundcards or SDR radios. Will check...

Remember when it was crashing on my iMac because of how the soundcards were being listed. Maybe it has to do with that.

I will have to send you an IQ recording that I did a few days ago that is 30 MHz wide at 16 bit IQ. See if it opens :) |

Phil, The resolution slider is the speed control. If it is not changing then something is wrong. The resolution changes the FFT size which affects the speed. Pieter Sent from my iPhone 4 On Dec 2, 2010, at 1:47 PM, "ic8pof" <ic8pof@...> wrote:

Hi,
I can always add an optional Spectrum / Waterfall toolbar just like the Filters one - then you have all the options in one nice & easy to use toolbar...

Pieter is a Pro I am just End_User_Home_Button_Depresser_Ham. Yes pleaseeeeeee a speed control is a must. Even over local LAN. Not much faster but little more, say 2 to 3 times than now. Via sliding cursor of course. I have tried to move the resolution but nothing happens to the speed. Anyway I would suggest to put the manual contrast sliding-bar directly to the right-mouse of the VFO bar. Instead or with the window width. That is because the noise specially on 160mt changes rapidly and going into the RXOptions take always time. 73 Phil@IC8POF --- In sdr-radio-com@..., "Simon HB9DRV" <simon@...> wrote:

When I go beyond about 2/3 scale with the 'Resolution', I get some
'break-up' and if I continue all goes black on the waterfall with a
message "Radio Not Started" but it is still playing and audio is
good as ever. Just some feedback... Win 7 64 bit; FA-66; V1.1.

Hi Phil,
The Waterfall speed has been replaced with Resolution (at Pieter's request), this is the way professional SDR software is presented. For faster waterfall use lower resolution.
If you want a faster waterfall using the remote server on your own network let me know, I can extend this if needed.
Blame Pieter :-)
