Hi,
I'll get a kit out this evening - I'll explain what you can do to help me.

Since I removed 417 that had been working for months, 472, 417, and 492 all go to 100% CPU during the splash screen. Other similar vintage computers work fine with 417, 472, and 492. I suspect something went wrong with the removal of 417, but what? Did something get left behind? Is there anything that I might have missed? Suggestions? I have tried the following: - removed SDR-Radio - removed SpectraVue - deleted the directory with the xml files - tried both with and without the SDR-IQ connected - removed the anti-virus software - installed all the latest MS patches The only thing I have not done is wipe the HDD clean and reload from scratch. Hi All,
I was thinking about a user gallery - upload to the files storage area please :)
BTW - pics of radios using the console, not pics of users!

Pager decoders?

Hi Simon,
Any possibility of incorporating decoders for POCSAG and FLEX, maybe using the code from PDW? |

screens not in sync?
Henk [pd5dp] <henkpit@...>
Hi,
I uploaded a screenshot to the download section. I have a strange thing. It seems that the zoomed window is out of sync with the main receive window.
Maybe I am doing something wrong here?

Yes,
Don't use the Center option in the Console pane of the Ribbon bar - it's broken :)
Also you can send a screenshot as an attachment to an e-mail.

Hi,
Sure, a couple of notches will happen. I'm currently designing some explosive sock-removal devices. In a few minutes I have to read up on some special filters...

Hi,
I'll do this tomorrow, there's aslo the NR-1 setting. I'll also add a 'Save Now' option so you can save now in case your PC explodes at a later date...

IQ Analysis using 8 CPU cores
RFSPACE
Simon,
It looks like the multicore code is working fine. I
am getting almost 4X the speed on the 8 core computer. Here is a plot of WWVB at
60 KHz with 12mHz resolution processed in less than a minute with 16 million
point FFT and 99% overlap. This plot clearly shows the 45º phase change at 10
minutes and 15 mintes past the hour. This is a quote from
Wikipedia:
" WWVB advances the phase of its carrier wave by 45° at ten minutes past the hour, and returns to normal (a −45° shift) five minutes later as a method of station identification. This phase step is equivalent to "cutting and pasting" 1/8 of a 60 kHz carrier cycle, or approximately 2.08 µs. This station ID method is common for narrowband high power transmitters in the VLF and LF bands where other intervening factors forbid normal methods of transmitting call letters." I am also getting 240 MB/s out of the Patriot 240 SSD in the IQ Analysis mode.

Simon,
I finally got winders 7 installed on the 8 core Mac
Pro with an SSD that claims 280 MB/s . I am getting 3-4% utilization while I get
20-21% on a 3 GHz dual core running XP and SDR-Radio. I am making a huge
recording to test the multicore processing code in the IQ analisys.

Still need Help !!! with saving settings ???

Hi Simon
each new update has more and better features but this is causing me more and more problems how can I save the settings so that they don't default on exit of the program ??? NR-2 set to High defaults back to Low AGC Custom settings return to default on exit Scroll set to 100hz defaults back to 10hz on exit is it possible to save these setting so that I don't have to keep changing them again when I turn back on the software ?? many thanks Ian 2E1RDX |
