Re: Using SDR Console with Flex 6XXX radio
Hi Simon,
A bit more observation: As far as Band selection, Mode and PTT between the SDR_C and Flex. everything sets up fine between SDR-C and my Flex profiles on any previously set CW and SSB Modes/frequencies profiles and TX ptt. SDR_C follows perfectly with Mode as long as I use CW or SSB. However, Once I go to any Flex profiles that were set up using DIGI-U Mode then the Flex digital profile comes up in USB Mode and the SDR_C reverts to WIDE-U Mode and something happens to my TX PTT. It gets disabled by SDR-C. -- Larry - K1UO

I am using V. 3.1 build 2320 and have SDR Console interfaced with my Kenwood TS480 and SDRPlay. Everything seems to work fine but I would like to try voice keying. Here is a screenshot of the voice keyer panel. -- - + - + -

The first thing that's obvious to me is I need to select the usb mic on my Windows 10 PC, but I don't know how. But it doesn't look like SDRConsole is connected to anything that will transmit. Can someone point me in the right direction and give me some help? Perhaps you need an SDR radio that is capable of transmit? Thanks! Hank/ke0cu

Re: Using SDR Console with Flex 6XXX radio
Something else I just noticed when in SDR-C external radio TRACKING on I get an initial PTT for a second then it drops off and I lose power out from the TX radio (Flex 6300)
I have to disable the SDR-C TRACKING to get my TX PTT for the radio back. Not sure how to "fix" this yet. -- Larry - K1UO

Re: Using SDR Console with Flex 6XXX radio
Hi Simon,
Whenever I set the Mode in the Flex slice window to DIGI-U the Mode in SDR-C reverts to WIDE-U and that in turn changes the Mode to USB in the Flex (and of course also sets the Flex to a narrower bw setting associated with the Flex USB setting) Hope I explained this clearly? -- Larry - K1UO

When does Console revert to Wide-U, Wide-L? When you select Digi-U, Digi-L in the Flex software? Simon Brown, G4ELI https://www.sdr-radio.com

I am using SDR-C version 3.0.26 and there is no DIGI-u or DIGI-L Mode in the Console Mode list so what happens is the Console reverts to Wide-U Mode and causes the Flex SDR to switch to the USB Mode instead of the Digi U that is best to use with Flex for Digital Modes. Is it possible to add these MODES into the SDR-Console mode list and set them to 3K bw default? -- Larry - K1UO -- - + - + - Please use https://forum.sdr-radio.com:4499/ when posting questions or problems.

Re: SDR Console 3 Spectrum background colour
Hello Simon
First, I want to thank you for all of the extremely powerful software you have offered to the ham community. You've made so many amateurs happy with easy to use MENU options, and uncluttered screens. A few years back I cut my teeth on Console 2 and a simple SDRplay1. In fact, a few QST images on articles I wrote came from that combination. SDRuno is overwhelming at first glance, when you just look at the entire monitor screen. Too many choices - all visible all the time. I end up closing windows after I set the parameter - perhaps that is the way you are intended to use the app. But the contrast in the spectrum window is still not to my liking (in SDRuno). SDR Console 3 latest version I do have Console 3 working beautifully with SDRplay duo. It was fun last night to explore the 2m band, and after clicking on a few weak signals, heard FM repeaters from over a hundred miles from my QTH (near Philadelphia PA). then I listened in to the aircraft band (122-130 MHz) and heard all kinds of planes on AM. Wow... that was fun. Then I tuned to 80 meters and wow.... saw all of the band on one screen. Then, you can so easily "zoom in" on the signals you want to explore in more detail. I love it! My strange request: In terms of the "background" color in the spectrum view: I am thinking that magazines need to have high-contrast images in publications like QST. The best I see with Console 3 is still way too little contrast in the spectrum window. The background color is still too dark for me. I'm not talking about the WF. So could there be an option (I recall there was in Console 2) to make the background (on spectrum) white, or a very light color, to emphasize the contrast with the spectrum line (I like the fill in option) in dark blue. That would be my "wish list" to make the program more friendly for publication. We usually are not impressed with "background" colors. 73 Barry Feierman k3eui k3euibarry at gmail.com

Yeah that quip wasn't lost on me either, yearning for an answer too.
And yet I'm not quite sure why - I've a number of SDRs and less and less time to experiement / play with them. Never been so busy. The portability looks amazing though... Regards.

Max, I'm glad you asked this.
I've been wondering about this since Simon mentioned it last year. I guess we wait a bit longer.

see if you have fm stations in the shortwave area ... the dreamkit seems to have not so well designed filters (if there are any) i just have watched a video from a user with fm stations on shortwave .. hmm?!? Hi Barry,
The background is black (or at least a grey gradient) for all schemes.

SDR Console 3 Spectrum background color
I am new to SDR (SDRplay duo) and am learning how to use SDR Console 3.
I am particularly interested in decoding sound card based digital modes on HF bands. The hardware/software is amazing in its ability to see and pick out weak signals. TU to the developers! When I try to take a high resolution image of the spectra window, I see the variety of colors I can choose from. But they all show a dark background color. Is there a color scheme (for the spectrum, not the waterfall) that allows the user to change the BACKGROUND color to something light? I just can't find the color scheme that is simple, clear, and hi contrast. I kind of remember SDR Console 2 (a few years back) had a choice of white background in spectrum window. TU for suggestions, Barry K3EUI Philadelphia region K3euibarry@...
