Does the Device Manager show the rspduo? If not fix
that. I presume you tried to create a definition for the rspduo
and it is not found, right?

Make sure your SDRduo is plugged into a USB port. Click on discover, select SDRplay then V3, then OK. You have to scroll slowly and look carefully for RSPduo in the list. Indeed there has been progress. We've had a holiday weekend, today I'm tied up with other non-software issues. Hope to get a test kit available later on Wednesday. Simon Brown https://www.sdr-radio.com -----Original Message-----

Re: recommended OS version?

You cannot. You may be able to get the old SDR-Radio
version 2 to work. But, basically, at this time XP is just plain
not supportable. When you mention "fully worked" I presume you
mean the installs. Required libraries won't work on anything
before 7.

Paul,
None, that’s it. It’s W7 or higher, I recommend W10 or W11.

recommended OS version?
corner5
hello,
My question: What is the recommended version of SDR-Radio to run from within win XP? Background: > I do have working copies of XP-32 and XP-64. I do not own W7, W10 or other Win. > I am by far more a linux guy but do want to try out this feature full application. No luck so far with WINE. Therefore I have created a VM within my Debian OS and successfully installed XP-64. I have tried to install both [SDR-Radio V3.1, 64-bit, 2022-04-12_1245.exe] and [SDR-Radio V3.1, 32-bit, 2022-04-12_1245.exe], but neither fully worked. Next I went way back in time and tried [SDR-RADIO-Pro_v2.2b1735.exe]. This last seemed to get me closer but not fully working. > I know Simon is truly tops with his projects and I'm guessing there is a path for me. I don't mind all the tuning needed here, but so as to not waste time on dead-ends, I felt it was best to check in and get pointed towards the proper method. so in summary... should I be working with the 32 or 64 bit XP and try to get it to play SDR-Radio from within a VM? If so, which version of the branch code is suggested. And any other ideas are very welcome. (Baring a purchase of windows, ;). thanks! .paul |

Re: Pointing eggsactly in File anlyzer

For any arbitrary carrier frequency there is no way
to do what you want. You can approximate by zooming way in and
clicking. It's a screen pixel thing.

For situations where you see real channel spacing, e.g. 3 kHz for regions using SSB and 5 kHz for regions using HF AM you can use tools options to have the carrier snap to the nearest 1 kHz or other step size. You can also place the mouse over a number on the frequency display, hold the shift key, and roll the mouse wheel. Digits to the right will be zeroed. {^_^} On 20220501 04:13:26, Zacharias Liangas

Pointing eggsactly in File anlyzer
Zacharias Liangas
Hello Hello Does any one know how to get exact pointing or tuning into a carrier in the data analyzer? Many times the pointer the steps even equal dotn seem to point exactly in the carrier ie 17490000.000 or 17530.000 In the second example as in the mini shot it steps to 17259976.8 and requires too careful mouse pointing to step up into 17530034[.662] so losing the carrier Attached are the photos adjustment buttons in total zoom plus the whole screenshot Step can vary by 12,13+ Hz ±v and never get on 17490 in this case V of Tibet
Notice: all these shots are with irfanview and hi jpg compression
