Also,

I expect it'll be Q4 2022 before it's available, could even be Q4 2023 but a direct sampler like this is nice. Any could I write would also support SDRplay's DUO I expect.

No,

I only saw it this morning. Now that would be a great SDR for developing beam-forming etc. as it's a direct sampler.

QSL.
That was the intention of my question. I was was unclear asking :-)
Now I know.
I had seen that as well, but was just puzzled at that time. I will try it out again.
A very handy feature. That is the time you need to get a IQ-recording started.

Writing low-level stuff to squeeze a CPUs performance is fun, haven't really done this in anger for 30 years. Written my own SSE / AVX / AVX2 code for DotProduct, managed to beat Intel's performance library by a factor of two.

Performance enhancements, bug fixes and a new Continuum display.

Re: QO-100 - SDR Console + Log4OM

Patrick

Hi Steve and thanks for your reply.

Actually I'm using VSP Manager to manage virtual ports. It's very strange. Simon told me in an E-Mail that this combination should work. I got the link between SDR C and Logger32 working without any problems.
But no way with Log4OM... I will check for port splitter software.

If you have any other ideas please let me know.

Re: QO-100 - SDR Console + Log4OM

Steve KH6CT

Greetings Patrick...

I am running a similar set of software; info on my setup might help.  Station here is a Yaesu FTDX-10, Log4OM and SDRConsole.  All three of them follow each other.  I do all, or most of, the tuning by moving the cursor about on the SDRConsole screen; the radio and logging program follow in frequency and band changes.  Am also running a software called Win4Yaesu which provides cat control of the radio and also provides virtual comports which allow several other pieces of software to connect to the Yaesu.  Most likely, in your situation, all you may need is a "port splitter" software package to allow both SDRC and Log4OM to communicate with the radio at the same time.

Only problem is that my station is all disconnected right now;  stuff is everywhere and it all needs to get connected properly.  Hope to be on line later this evening, and I'll test some connectivity which may work for your station.  More to follow...

Best 73,
Steve KH6CT

Hi Simon, Larry.

I can confirm that when I attempt to set a recording cache when setting up a recording preset under the data recording options and tick the box for the "cache" drop down, whatever value I select, no data is cached. When I replay the IQ file, the start time remains the same as when I hit the preset record button and I've checked the audio on the recordings, and it has not pre-fetched audio from before I hit record (in case it had cached data but not updated the time readout to allow for any cached data).

How can I get the band plan?
Thanks in advance to all.

Re: Afedri AFE822X dual channel Diversity/phasing support?

Hi all.
Does anyone have any questions, additions or corrections to my "Two Channel Beam Steering" paper?
Comments are most welcome.
However I do not see it attached to this thread any longer. It seems to have disappeared.
Do I have to re-submit it?
I plan to take a look at how the Radiation Patterns for two phased loops looks with different phasing.
However, this quickly becomes quite complex with all possible variations of the loop orientations possible. There is not just one answer here.
There is a myriad of solutions considering frequency, distance between the loops, relative orientation between the loops etc. etc.
