Hello Simon,

Back in the beginning of February, I sent a message to Ettus Research with
your lament for their poor support for UHD.dll.  Below is the response I
received:

HI Larry - Sorry for the long delay; somehow this message got dropped &
we're just seeing it now, months after the fact! Thank you for the note. We
get this sort of criticism regularly, especially for Windows because that's
our lease[sic]-best supported OS. UHD is an amazing piece of software that
allows relatively easy addition of new SDRs, whether USRPs or some other
type that just wants to be compatible, and new features to existing SDRs.
The relative ease means complexity internally, some of which can indeed slow
things down while still being amazingly robust. That said, I'd guess even on
Windows that one can get better throughput than noted, though admittedly
much depends on the CPU (speed, cores, memory) and UHD settings. Thanks

With ETTUS the problem is the support dll (UHD.dll). I can’t get my B200
running at much more than 24MHz bandwidth, haven’t looked at UHD.dll for
quite a while. The UHD.dll code is by no means optimal, *very* difficult to
optimise due to its size and complexity, all unnecessary IMO

Were I commercial person I would write a new support dll for a specific
Ettus device, this may well be the only way to get it running properly.

Perhaps you can pursue this issue with "MLD," and successfully have your
needs met. 

Or, perhaps doing UHD development on a *nix system will better enable your
effort.
