V3 (12 Jun) Improper Argument
Hi Simon,
Just encountered an 'improper argument' whilst using the latest v3 preview, with an Airspy (at 2.5MB/s). This is the first time I have come across this. I was checking 27MHz to see if Es was present as 10m was dead. Just tuning around, scrolling with the mouse wheel and switching from USB to LSB or back again as needed - funny folk these CBers, using LSB :). The error box was clickable, but brought up a second one, which I could close. The first one remained, uncloseable. Each time I clicked on OK or the cross, a new error box would show. The program was, evidently, still running but in a frozen state, until I clicked the OK button on the error box. The waterfall would scroll a few lines before the new error box showed and froze the program again. Only way to close program was from the task manager. Previously, I had this version running for 48 hours without a hitch, but had only been running for about 4 hours today. One other thing that happens, seemingly randomly, is that the program will sometimes just close without warning or error when using a midi device (a DJ Tech VTT101 controller). Running Win 10/64, i5 (2320), 16GB ram, GTX730 (2GB) graphics. Attached are screenshots of the frozen program, the taskmanager, and one of what it should look like when running normally. Superb program, which keeps on getting better. 73, Sea - G4UCJ |

Receivers as a resource
Dear all, I have started to experiment with V2. I'm not sure at this time if V3 would help whilst I'm on my steep learning curve. I am trying to understand the relationship capability between radio resources, VFO's and remote users. Can only 1 radio be associated with one remote user. My requirements are rather like a WEBSDR and to have more than 1 user operating the same SDR. Does anyone know the possibilities please. Kind regards, Martin M0MGA |

level=f(frequency)
Rudolf Schaffer
Hello,
I'm doing some tests with the nice "Signal History" feature of SDR Console 3.0 . A RSP1 is connected to the IF output of a K3 and used as a panadapter; the K3's and SDR V3 displayed frequencies are ok. I'm sweeping the 192kHz window of RX 1 with a miniVNA. My "dumb" question: Is it possible to get a CSV file with level=f(frequency) ? ( ~ like a spectrum analyzer)) The CSV file with level=f(time) is 100% ok (it's a Signal History !) Thank you for your help, 73 QRO, Rudi, HB9ARI |

Re: SDRConsole V3 : glitches with Funcube Dongle Pro (+)
Hi,
I am now catching up, a screenshot will help as does the logfile. I will try to get my dongle connected today and give it a go.

Be clear, I am not sure about the origin of this regular sound. |

Hi Paul,
When you add a favourite, you have the option of typing in a new name (instead of using an existing one) in the Group and Folder area in the dialog box. When you do this, the new group is created for you and the new favourite placed in it. ================================ On 22/06/2017 20:39, eckerpw@... [sdr-radio-com] wrote:

SDRConsole V3 with FCD Pro + : I & Q inverted ?
f1jek
With this configuration, a frequency decreasing sweep crosses the screen in the waterfall from left to right. This is not correct.
I remember that I had to click "Swap I & Q" for FCD dongles in SDR#. regards J-Luc F1JEK |

In HDSDR, same dongle, same antenna, same signal, I do not have anything like that. Will check again... :-) J-Luc |

Re: Port Errors
Many thanks for your help on getting connected. I really appreciate it. Is it true in my findings that only 1 radio can be connected to a remote user at a time or does sit depend on your SDR radio. Regards, Martin M0MGA |

Yes. I would like it dropped also. This is a place for learning. And hopefully a little bit was conveyed to help others today.

Oh Cool!
I have the networking part down. I just dove into the server side of Simon's gem. Some things I put into the conversation, take with a grain of salt. As I get into it more, I'll understand it better. Glad you're up and running and Networking 101 helped you out! |

Re: Port Errors
Finally it's running! Brilliant! On the remote client where the IP address is, there's a drop down to select the PC name, select that and connect and it works. Brilliant. I'm on a learning curve and not sure if that's because of my setup, but it is odd. I've been experimenting already and note that only one remote user can be connected to my softrock SDR, unless I'm doing something wrong in setup. But then that user may use up to 6 VFO's. Have I got that right. Other remote users have to sit tight until the radio resource is freed up by timeout or disconect. Many thanks for helping me on this. Regards, Martin |

Re: Port Errors
Alan Predmore
Guess I'll have to get the server setup and try it here.
Verify please that your computer IP is set static and that the info under static reads something like: the 5 in ipv4,gateway,server, etc XXX.XXX.5.XXX should be XXX.XXX.1.XXX for you. I keep a few networks running here.... And your IPv4 (ex: 192.168.1.10) is the IP address you forward in your router. And the port you forward is the Simon port 7999. External and Internal By the way. How are you accessing the server? At home on another PC? If so you WILL have to login using the private IP of 192.168.1.XXX (your server):7999 Outside of home (Starbucks), use the public IP address of your modem. Can you send a few screen shots like I did?click paste. Hold the alt key down, then press the print screen key. Below your text (enter), right click and then paste. Also, have you tried shutting the Windows firewall off to test? Get back.... |

Re: Port Errors
The message reads fully, "Connection refused (server not listening on the selected port)", but I'm "On Air"

Re: Port Errors
Well I'm "On Air"...but a remote connection attempt fail's with a message on the client remote saying connection failed, server not listening. I'm stumped again as the server is on air and my account and password is correct when I'm attempting on the client Regards, Martin |

JIM - in regards to the Favorites area, I now see how to delete and edit, but how does one add a new Group? I hate to keep asking these what may be super simple questions, but it seems if one can't figure out how to do a task, it's the only way.
