OK,
If you have problems with the SDRplay RSP1 or RSP2 then you *must* install the runtime below. I have tested on a Windows 7 32-bit system and can confirm that VCRuntime140.dll is required.
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=52685
I will update the Download page.

Hi All,
For those in this group – here’s an updated kit. The test team have played with it, for me the big improvement is Narrow FM now working properly (!) and lower stutter when many receivers are enabled.

Hi Simon
Same issue in W8.1 64-bit. The new Nov 11 kit doesn't start the RSP2. Previous version, Oct 23 was fine. Regards Noel. |

V3 October build: Can't Select File For Playback
Bjarne Mjelde
When I select Open, and I choose to search for a file instead of opening one, V3 seems to want to scan all files in a folder, ending up with stuttering. The program doesn't respond to commands, so in the end I have to hard close it. It was rather difficult to explain in words so I made an mp4 to illustrate. I look forward to hearing how it performs on VHF. One big problem for me is that APRS is on 144.390 and can be a pain when trying to hear signals on 2m EME when there is a local with an APRS saying "Yep still parked on the drive" every few minutes.

Re: Kit: November 11th, 2017
Installed the v3 new kit on Nov 11 build 959 today. I can start the programme but cannot start my SDRPlay RSP2. I closed SDR Console and then my Windows system crashed and become blue screen (the BSoD phenomenon) several minutes later,
I am using Windows 7 32-bit. The log file shows the following lines which may indicate potential causes of problems: 20:55:59.166: Select Radio> 20:55:59.206: Select Radio> Initialising 20:55:59.206: Select Radio> ------------ 20:55:59.206: Select Radio> Parent class .: CMainFrame 20:55:59.206: Select Radio> - 20:55:59.206: SDRplay 20:55:59.206: Select Radio> Connecting 20:55:59.206: Select Radio> ---------- 20:55:59.206: Select Radio> Address ....: xxxxxxxx 20:55:59.206: Select Radio> Model ......: SDRplay RSP2 20:55:59.206: Select Radio> Serial .....: xxxxxxxx 20:55:59.206: Select Radio> Port .......: 0 20:55:59.206: Select Radio> Soundcard ..: 20:55:59.206: Select Radio> Parent wnd .: 000302DA 20:55:59.206: Select Radio> Bandwidth ..: 2048000 20:55:59.206: Select Radio> Frequency ..: 157024134 20:55:59.206: Select Radio> PPM ........: 0 20:55:59.206: Select Radio> Converter ..: 0 20:55:59.206: Select Radio> Swap IQ ....: 0 20:55:59.206: Select Radio> - 20:55:59.206: Select Radio> Connect frequency 157024134 = 157024134 + 0 (PPM) 20:55:59.206: Radio SDRplay: MIRICS> LoadDll failed 20:55:59.206: Select Radio> Status .....: Failed 20:56:01.506: OnSysCommand: nID 0000F012 SC_MOVE, lParam 000F0424 Is it the case that some .dll file is missing or outdated? |

Simon, That goes without saying. As always you have given us a superb piece of software. Which gets better with every upgrade. I first used your digi software during the early days, when I was using the then standard Digipan, and convinced our club to try HRD instead. I will download this new feature for sure. Thanks Chris de 9H1BW. |

Hi guys. Strange.....I always get +- 96Khz when restarting the Console, unless of course if I have changed the setting manually first.
I would recommend David to use the Zoom slider rather than the Bottom slider to change visual BW. I only use the Bottom slider for shifting the selected BW up and down. If you do shift between 192kHz and 200Hz often, I do recommend creating Favourites for each setting. Theese may be organized in Groups and Folders as desired. Have a nice weekend, LB6YD Gaute |

Yes,
It does. Looks like I set the bandwidth to 80% of the radio’s sample rate in this situation. I’ll relax his to 90% now, thanks for the help.

Simon...this may be user induced...I usually change the span (using the bottom slider) so that it shows a span of 200Khz ie the span will show + or - 100Khz |

Simon...this may be user induced...I usually change the span (using the bottom slider) so that it shows a span of 200Khz ie the span will show + or - 100Khz
If I then close the program and restart the span will default to 76.800Khz. However if I manually set the span using the slider control to say + or - 95Khz then it restarts correctly and the span will show that value (95Khz). so it seems that if the user manually sets a value exceeding the bandwidth setting ...in my case 192Khz for the FCDP+ the span will default to 76.800 when the program is restarted. I have duplicated this several times. Does that make sense to you. David |
