Conrad, PA5Y
Thanks Simon I will give it a go then. I have an SDR and 5 decoders going when I am on 2m EME it will be much easier with 6 monitors.

Shouldn't cause any problems.

Some background and then a question at the end. I know that you guys will have the answer.
I have an HP-Z440 workstation with an Nvida QUADRO M2000 graphics card and 4 x HP E243 monitors. For weak signal work display port cables are very quiet and do not radiate. However, 4 monitors are not enough. I do not need super graphics and the CUDA cores in the M2000 seem to handle SDRC tasks admirably.
Not a superfast PC but it is good enough
I was thinking of adding a 2nd Nvidia video card as there is a spare full height PCIe3 x16 slot, something like an Nvidia NVS 510 would fit and give me 4 more display port connectors, this time I will add 2 x E273 and hope that they are RF quiet like the E243. Big 4K monitors are a disaster for moonbounce and other weak signal vhf work, I tried a few, they were extremely noisy.
Now my question, does adding a 2nd video card cause problems? Specifically with audio streaming. The 2nd card is for text and simple graphics so the NVS 510 will do the job, we have them on PCs at work for multiple monitor set ups.

Re: RSP1A
Looks like you have two other radios, do the others work when connected to the same antenna the RSP1A is connected to? have you tried using the RSP1A with RSPuno?
How about you post your log file so we can review it? -- Dennis KA6FUB |
