Hi, I'm trying to use the Digital Decoder, unfortunately I can't manage to decode anything! I am using G4ELI's server to receive the signal, could this be the reason I can't decode PSK or RTTY? screen shot attached.

Thank's
John.

Another question:
Does somebody have a source for more up to date bdy.txt files?
europe-bdy.txt still e. g. shows the German Democratic Republic and former Yugoslavia.
Unfortunately I only found the old files from 2000 in in CIA WDB.

Hi John,

If you want to decode FT-8 (and a 'few' others) have a look at

Thank's Simon, I have it now. Using the correct frequency helps.

Easy.

In the dialog box that pops up when you add a Favourite, just type the folder you want to create by typing the name in the "Folder: " box.

Hope this helps.

John,

These are FT-8 signals, not PSK, that's the problem.

Is it possible to use both tuners in the Duo with SDR Console...if not is there any timescale for implementation??

Hi,

At the moment Zoom mode requires the Home to be visible, this will change. The country borders come from an old file, I found the latest data on https://www.naturalearthdata.com/downloads/10m-cultural-vectors/ but haven’t implemented it. Maybe I will take a look tonight.

For my own programming amusement I want to add an Equal Earth Projection- see http://shadedrelief.com/ee_proj/ maybe this year. It just looks ‘cool’.

[Edited Message Follows]

No chance to shift (pan) the map when zoom is more then 100 %?
You only can see the stations around your Home QTH when zoomed, but nothing from the rest of the world.
That's a pity.

I use the GSHHG 2.3.7 files perhaps they are more up-to-date?

http://www.soest.hawaii.edu/wessel/gshhg/

My own software uses the native format, but I see they also offer ESRI shapefiles and GMT 4.5 and 5.* files too.

I'm baffled.  With the powered hub, the current reads 0.33A on the desktop now, but only when I connect my little table top antenna.  With the vertical antenna connected it's 0.08A.  But the distortion remains.  Why the current goes down when I connect the larger antenna is most interesting.  It's not trying as hard to hear?

I noticed that the computers not distorting are running older versions of SDR Console, if that means anything.

I'm tired after a long week, so I can continue this in the morning.
