Frequency filter

John Barnett

Hi, could someone confirm if the frequency filter is working as designed please. In the frequency database. I have tried with different options available in the list of options and I don't think it is filtering correctly!

Example.

Ask to filter On 0900 and get 0000 and 1030 and 2333.

Screen shot is with filter set to on 0900. Screen shot will not capture the small filter window.

Database in use is EiBi.

John.

Hi Simon,

With luck it might support the Angelia board (Apache 100D) also?

If I could change the sample rate, I'm sure it would be ok.  Where is that setting?

Overall, I'm very impressed with the Airspy R2.  I see no need to keep the Lime Mini around anymore.

Thanks,

Well, it's not the version.  It's the sample rate, but only at 10MSPS and only on some computers.  Maybe it's time to get the x1 PCI-E card since I couldn't use the x4 one.

Simon, is there a way to manually control the Sample Rate on SDRC?  I have the same problem on the affected computers with other programs that allow me to set the sample rate and lowering it to 2.5MSPS removes the problem in that case.

Thanks very much for this investigation.
I just started having this issue which I assumed was
in connection with steppin up from 3.0. to 3.0.2. But now
I realize I also went from the Realtek audio playback device
to a USB playback through external speakers.

So possibly this is the issue since my connection speed and
no WIFI don't seem likely.

I will try your suggestions tonight and let the group know.

Simon,
I have owned a Hermes 16 bit board for some time, but I hardly ever used it because I could never get accustomed to the display of PowerSDR.
Though from your website I know the 16 bit Hermes board is not supported, I tried it, using Hermes_Protocol_2_v10.3.rbf. And it works -- almost! The RX audio and the display are on for about 3 secs, then the program stops.

The log file looks "almost normal" (hi):

Receiving replies, timeout 2000 ms

Is there any chance you will make SDR Console V3 work with a 16 bit Hermes board?
I am only interested in the RX part, and I would appreciate it very much!

Thanks for your great work,

Very good HF SDRs, and we are talking most likely better than your Icom/Kenwood/Yaesu  rig, are VERY cheap. The Airspy HF+ comes in at around $200 which let's face it is really nothing at all when we compare it to what we spend on other useless stuff at Walmart/CVS. Even if you feel that your time is only worth minimum wage it is easy to waste more than the 18 hours (how much a Airspy HF+ would cost you) and end up thinking SDR is useless when really it is more you are trying to make a 24MHz? rig RX on 80M.  Let me know how well your HW101 receives on 10GHz EME....

Just an honest email rather than trying to sugar coat things and pretend that all is wonderful and the RTL will RX better than your Anan on 80M.

Hi, Steve...

Well, "kinda sorta"....  Although I was able to at least get something going when we were on the phone, I have not been able to get anything working yet where I can actually *listen* to something.

I'm not sure if it is because my computer has too many other programs running in the background, or if it just doesn't have the "horsepower" to handle what is needed to run this program... but when I launch SDR, the CPU usage maxes out, and the audio is very chopped/"staccato".

Edited

OK thank you Simon. I appreciate that you are still thinking about it, and yes, agree it's really only when recalling of a "Favourites" batch of RXs in the matrix where it is really required as a feature, so it's stored with each receiver when storing a group of favourites (if I have correctly understood what you mean?), in exactly the same way as, for example, the mode (lsb/usb/fm) is stored now.

If you know of a alternative download site that is not suspicious I'm willing to give this a try.
