I think the firmware does correctly support the firmware, busy today / tomorrow.

I have the RX-888 MKII but really no closing answer.
I suppose, that the actual drivers (ExitIO and other solutions) are not supporting this device with all hardware options.
In the HF path there is an programmable attenuator and a VGA (also programmable).
In the VHF path there is also the VGA and the R828D tuner with its own gain adjustment options.
In the moment I think, the attenuator (PE4312) and VGA (AD8370) are not programmed with the actual drivers and are set to their default power-up values: VGA at min. gain, attenuator at max. attenuation.

If that is true, then the RX-888 MKII is actually running with put on handbrake.

I thought about that but I can open HDSDR or SDRUNO without any problems and they both use the same omnirig as sdr console.

I get that same error if I try to open sdr console when no other programs are running.

What other programs are you running? You can open SDR receivers by only one program at a time.

No, as I said before, if I wait a few minutes, sdr console will finish loading and the error message disappears.

This action cannot be completed because the other program is busy.
Choose "Switch to" to activate the busy program and correct the problem.

Except that I can't choose the "Switch to" button because everything is frozen.

The Server Busy error message box pops up in the middle of the screen while SDR Console is loading.  I'll try to get a screen shot.

Hello Alan,

I've the same problem on one computer. However I found out that OmniRig is responsible for this symptom
in my case. Sometimes OmniRig delays opening other programs by several minutes. If I kill OmniRig all becomes normal. I guess it depends how
Win10 runs OR which can be different in every computer. Try to uninstall OR to see whether this confirms my experience.

Latest version of sdr console, v1.2 omnirig, connect to a ic7300 via win4icom. Just started doing this recently. I'm not aware of any changes I've made that would cause this problem, whatever this problem is.....

Latest update.  I thought the issue was with Win4icom so I switched to WFView.  Setup a splitter in VSPE. COM20 pointed to COM4, which is the ic7300 com port.  Pointed WFView, Log4OM. and SDR Console all to COM20.  All programs connect and work fine, except I still intermittently get the SERVER BUSY error message with I start SDR Console.  Can't figure it out. 

I even get the error message if I start SDR Console without any other program running.

I wonder whether this is a Firewall issue - the console sends over ACKs to keep the ANAN streaming. If blocked then it does stop after ~20 seconds or so.
