Re: bladeRF 2.0 In Action

Yeah, it needs filtering alright. It has the same problems as the Limes with 700MHz LTE. Europe & The UK don't have that yet, right? (700 MHz LTE)
1/5th and 1/7th are strong here, but then this is on a TV UHF antenna that's great for 700MHz, while receiving VHF signals, which doesn't help, I'm sure. I will do more testing, but I bought it for higher frequencies anyway. I also haven't tried it with the LNA yet. Mike K6MSM |

Re: High CPU usage when AirspyHF+ is used as server

Hello Kriss,

I suggest you install SDR# and the latest dll with it. Also upgrade the HF+ firmware to the latest. The latest SDR# has parameters in SDRSharp.exe.Config that allow you to change the cpu load caused by the dll. To start with, change <add key="airspyhf.libdsp" value="1" /> to <add key="airspyhf.libdsp" value="0" /> This will disable the mirror image cancellation and show how much cpu load everything else is causing. In case you see a significant change, you can make the IQ balancer slower by changing these: <add key="airspyhf.iqBalancer.buffersToSkip" value="1" /> <add key="airspyhf.iqBalancer.fftIntegration" value="4" /> <add key="airspyhf.iqBalancer.fftOverlap" value="2" /> <add key="airspyhf.iqBalancer.correlationIntegration" value="16" /> Maybe something like this: <add key="airspyhf.iqBalancer.buffersToSkip" value="2" /> <add key="airspyhf.iqBalancer.fftIntegration" value="2" /> <add key="airspyhf.iqBalancer.fftOverlap" value="1" /> <add key="airspyhf.iqBalancer.correlationIntegration" value="16" /> The load caused by the IQ balancing should decrease by a factor of 4. In case this helps, Simon can implement calls to the new functions in the airspyhf API to allow the user to set his preferred values. 73 Leif I'm creating a 'new' thread to see what other server system operators see when a user operates their AirspyHF+ acting as a server. The high CPU load causes the audio and waterfall to stutter at any bandwidth. The same computer runs an SDR-iq at 192kHz with no issues at all, excellent audio/waterfall. |

Another nice feature would be the ability to point with the mouse cursor and have it display the time at the point of interest……

Re: World Map v1.0.5
Nope,
It’s a Firewall blocking FTP access from the program. 1.0.6 may be better, hope to show it off later this evening.

Good afternoon, Simon.
My continued thanks for your new World Map program - it keeps getting better! My only issue: the Solar Weather indices window doesn't work. I only have -1 for data showing in all entries, and 'Refresh' does nothing. I did not have any pop-ups for permissions, so nothing there. I did un-install and re-install, but no change. As usual, it's probably the operator, yes? Help! Brendan WA7HL |

Re: HackRF TX support with V3 of SDR Console
Hi,
I never had a beta – I got it working for myself but must sort out a bug before I make it available. Of source, once that bug’s fixed others will come and bite me on the behind 😊 .

Simon, is there a version that will allow the Lime SDR UsB to transmit? I remember you had a Beta, but I never got to try it. Willing to roll back firmware to try. |

Do you mean the b200 or b200mini? The b200mini works fine, it's the main SDR I use with v3.

Some things you could try (document changes)

Update Bios (assuming you can get that little case open) Reseat cards, RAM especially, but anything that is moveable. Check Heat sinks are solid and seated (check if the stutter is the same from cold - leave it off for a while) Check CPU is not on some dynamic overclocking controlled by an installed app, for a test fix the frequency Look at speed step (or anything else that dynamically changes the CPU) Disconnect and reconnect SATA data connectors and power. Depending on what display type you use see if you can reduce the RAM allocated to just what is required. Does it have antivirus? Software Firewall (or use an external router/firewall) Look at power controls for USB devices just in case it is sending something to a low power state every 500ms It might be that some other interrupt is er, interrupting the CPU with RAM or hard drive write issues. If you are sensible and don't open the case with a shotgun nothing there should make things worse but it would be good to affect it some way to narrow it down. I've had bad SATA leads or poorly seated RAM tie up the hardware just enough to make things bog but not show up in the logs. Stu
