Kees,
You *must* tell me which ILG fields you are missing, and if possible why you need them.

All,
As requested I added ability to filter by frequency while drinking coffee and working 80m DX. Who’s a hero?

The logbook is Nils' hobby :-)
I would be very pleased with extending the frequency database with the fields of ILG. Recently I was struggling in trying to alter the csv-files to manipulate the columns that are imported, but no success for me. But with an "empty" database or extending the current ILG one with some columns, I would be in SDR's heaven :-) Was denkts du, Nils ? Kees, PA3KVE |

Re: Archive XML-file Frequency Database - Format?
Also,
I have always thought about a logbook, I can add Audio and screenshots to this. So fields like:
We can also have a SDR Console, SDR#, … common cluster where we can see what other users are listening to, where they are in the world etc.

Re: Archive XML-file Frequency Database - Format?
Hi Simon and Nils,
I support the request of Nils. Let ILG be the guide in that. My first interest is the Additional Remarks, but the "whole" ILG would be great. That would be a real big improvement (for me). @Nils: can you provide Simon the fields that are missing? If not, then I can make a try. Please let me know. I would suggest the ILGADTA (the dbf format - or the txt format ILGATXT) which contains all the information. 73 Kees PA3KVE |

Hi, Simon and Kees - as I am also very interested in this topic: * an "empty" CSV import/export option would be a great help * it would be also excellent, if one can import the current settings of V3 (ie frequency, time, date, mode, bandwidth etc) into a second file. This may work as perfect logbook. It then should additionally cover the ILG dataset BTW: In the recent Version of V3, column "TX Location" seems to get lost in the conversion process; see annotated screenshot attached. Thanks and 73: Nils, DK8OK

Re: v3.0.3 crashes
Hi,
I can simulate this I think. You may be getting a large spike which causes the SDR to generate very high IQ values which blow up my code.
I will look at this very soon.

Thanks Dick, but mine just crashes without any other action. I remember something like you said when I had an RFSpace SDR-IQ, at that time, when I've started my rotor some kind of spike on the electric line made the receiver overloaded and then crashed the app, the software at that time was SpectraVue. |

For me this time is very different, no other app running on the PC and suddenly SDR Console just freezes or crashes, most times keeps playing audio with the GUI freezed. Any thoughs? |

Doppler on Both SDRPlay Rx and FT-857D Transmit
Hasan Schiers N0AN
I seem to have stumbled onto getting it working, but the steps I took look ...well..."odd" 1. Close Satellite Panel 2. Turn off (disable) External Radio in Main Console 3. Restart Program. 4. View > Select (next to Satellite More Options) 5. Check External Radio 6. Restart Program ============================= All the follolwing Done in the Main Console, not Satellite Panel: Configure External Radio and Omni-Rig1: (FT-857d and Com5, 4800 baud, 8 data, No Parity, 1 Stop bit, RTS High, DTR High, Poll 500 ms, Timeout 4000 ms) 7. Disable Main Console External Radio 8. Exit and Restart Program ================================= All the following done in the Sat Panel: a. Satellite Panel Open b. Enable Tracking c. Click on Show External Radio (next to pass schedule) External Radio panel : Shows FT-857 Offline Click Start Shows FT-857 Online Doppler Checked Green No check in Mute on tx or VFO B Uplink Doppler shows properly and radio responds. Checked Sat Panel of SDRC and Rx Doppler is being applied. So I got there, but I'm not sure what actually did it. 73, N0AN Hasan |

Re: Archive XML-file Frequency Database - Format?
Hi Kees,
I added the XML as an archive / interchange option. I’m busy with ANAN / TX at the moment, I can add a CSV Import / export if that would help.

Archive XML-file Frequency Database - Format?
Kees van Engelen
Hello Simon,
I want to try to feed the Frequency database via the XML Load button. So I saved a sample (SAVE button) to look what's like. Now I do not know a lot about XML and stuff, but could you help me with some hints ? What format / sort XML do you use ? Is it some standard? I cannot find anything, so a hint would be very nice :-) 73 Kees PA3KVE |

Two Sat Config Problems
Hasan Schiers N0AN
I want to be able to Receive on my SDR and transmit on an FT-857d, and have doppler applied to both, as appropriate. Is this possible? If not, I could live with doppler being applied uplink only. Problem #1 I don't see any way to configure doppler separately for the SDRPlay RSP2 as the receiver and the FT-857d as the transmitter. In the help section on line it shows a screen that I cannot reproduce with v3.03: My screen looks like the attached...notice that the Doppler choice TX/RX is missing. Problem #2 Even though I have mute on TX not checked in the External Radio display of the SAT pane, every time I key the tx, the RX gets muted (there is no auto-mute on, there is no interference) When I was just running without CAT, using the SDRPlay as the rx with doppler control, and the FT-857 on TX with "hand controlled doppler", things worked fine, there was no muting when I keyed the tx up. Now, I can' t transmit and hear myself, as the rx goes down the second I tx. 3rd Problem: Now I can't even get back to where I was before. I can' t seem to disable the external radio, so now any time I TX, my RX goes deaf, which means I can't hear myself and makes sat work (SSB/CW) unusable. Help, please! TIA, N0AN Hasan |
