Exactly right.

Look at the main display – the next pass will be barely visible…

Hi Steve,

The text window shows only passes that reach the min elevation. Maybe that AOS shown in the main window is for a pass that has  maximum elevation lower than 10 degrees.

Ah,

User issue 😊 . Glad it’s fixed, odd that I saw the device but the device wasn’t working – had to be motherboard drivers. Haven’t come across this before.

I managed to get the  SDR-Radio Console sound working again.  I had to go to a manufacturer's website, or proxy in my case, because Gateway went defunct.  I downloaded potentially missing motherboard drivers from the website.  Then I went to the Realtek drivers download site.  I downloaded the Windows 10 .exe file.  The program first removed all the realtek drivers and then, after a reboot, replaced them with up-to-date drivers.  I then clicked on the launcher icon and, hey presto, I heard sound again.

Lime SDR _ Coming Soon

OK,

Now looking at the LimeSDR transmit support, here’s what I will be doing for 3.0.6:

  • TX – enable Analog filter,
  • TX – enable digital filter,
  • TX – rework code so it works properly in full duplex.

Apart from any urgent bug fixes my aim is to get the LimeSDR support fixed and release 3.0.6 in a week or so as Es’Hail 2 will be activated in the next days.

This tells me that it is some code that configures an Altera FPGA in
the Lime SDR, presumably you can read more if you want to find out what
has been changed.

When I tried to download the Realtek drivers again, there was a problem with downloading them to my computer.
Stephen,

What does Device Manager show?
Windows often gives sound systems a driver that works.
Have you checked Sound Properties to see what shows, is there a default playback device?

I think that the trouble is that I wiped my hard drive clean.  Then I did the Windows 1809 Update.  When I tried to download the Realtek drivers again, there was a problem with downloading them to my computer.

Hi Ingolf,

good to hear that you already solved your problem.

Your measurements are quite in line with mine (50dB carrier suppression and 42dB sideband suppression).

That is not perfect but should be enough to get started.

Kind regards

Matthias

Hi Matthias.
Thanks for looking into the problem I saw.
I do use the Tx1-port. The Tx2 port gives much less output on these frequencies, I checked that as well ;-)
I believe I found the cause for my problems. I had FW 1.4 but the Gateware I had was 2.14 and by updating to Gateware 2.19 the problem vanished :-)
I have no clue what Gateware is or does but it seems to make a difference.
Now with +8 dBm FT8-signal out I have a carrier suppression of ~50 dB and a sideband suppression of ~42 dB. About what you could expect. I enclose a SPA screenshot.
The far out spurii is not that bad. Better than I feared and probably better than many commercial 432 MHz stations even without any filtering of the Lime Tx-signal. With filtering it will actually be fully OK. No picture enclosed of that here.

As a point of reference, 3.04 and 3.05 both work fine on my Afedri SDR net 3.0 using the network connection mode. I have not tried the USB connection mode.

3.0.5 installed. Problems had on 3.0.4 still present on my Afedri and Win 10 64 bit.
Program works fine on all modes except CW/LSB/USB.
When switching to CW/LSB/USB the frequency spectrum pane freezes and I can not tune up and down.
Any ideas?

Sigi,

there are plenty of intermod / spurious signals …

I just wanted to go step by step and compare apples to apples to Ingolfs measurements-

Ingolf,

I may habe another idea:

I am using TX1 and the L-output (in SDR-Radio choose TX Ant: BAND1). When using the H-output I do not get a good signal.

Could you please double-check that you are also using that output ?

One thing I notice is that you have a length of 257 in your TX BPF while I am using 2049.

The rest of the setting should be the same.

Thankyou, Aoki import A-OK here :)

Custom CSV Import of SWSKEDS .csv file works OK if .csv file's On and Off header entry fields are renamed to Time_On and Time_Off

How much dog food would it take to have Sort by Column/Multi-column, Find, Select Language, On_Now, On_Next functionality added as well? :)

Thanks for updates,
Anyway since version 3.0.4 the software freeze and finally crash when it's out of resources.
It's eating all the memory until it crash.

I'm back to v3.0.3
