Re: Memories
Once you learn how it's relatively easy. I'd run it through a reformatter first, though. Visual Studio does that nicely.

So I think we are close to agreement. Just to clarify:
The SDRuno S-meter gives a measurement of the total signal power within the demodulation bandwidth. As jdow says, it can indeed hide

Re: SDRPlay RSPdx & Bodnar Success
I set both to 8 ma. from the prior 32 ma. and they still are working, so I'll keep the level here (as low as it goes)

Re: SDRPlay RSPdx & Bodnar Success
jdow,
Are you suggesting I should set the output value for the Bodnar to a different value, and if so, please advise. I have no idea what I am doing with it. It is set to 32 ma now

I got something similar, Chris.
I made a small CSV of three fields by 4 rows.
Couldn’t find my original text anywhere, gave up.

Re: SDRPlay RSPdx & Bodnar Success
Um, that's 0.05 watts give or take. It's perhaps a bit high for IC comfort while it is, presumably, good for phase noise noise. I guess at 1.6vrms ( 5v p-p) that's not TOO awful. But the ICs are rated

Then we have the question, "how do they calculate signal level?" What do they show on the spectrum? Total power per display pixel is a number I can relate to. But that CAN hide narrowband signals. And

Congratulations on your success.
My RSP2s have no problem at 8ma output on the Bodnar, in fact I could Tee two of them at that output level. You might want to give the poor suffering ICs in the RSP a

As Joanne says it is. No AGC is used at VHF.
But the only way on HF with a HF+ is to set the gain manually and compensate.
I think somewhere in the Airspy group are details of how to gauge signal

Would it work with an RSP1A to calibrate the S-meter of SDRC3? (For VHF/UHF)

Hi,
It’s not impossible, just no guarantee that calibration is accurate under all signal conditions, especially strong signals. Myself, HF+ and SDRplay radios show consistent values.
