Re: Off Topic - Antenna Design Software
I hope if I am able to get as far as the building process it won't take me much more than that. It would be nice to have my own machine shop for some things. My equipment

Thank you for the information. I'm looking at the site right now. I know a lot less about baluns and chokes but that is a whole other topic. . .

Re: Off Topic - Antenna Design Software
Yeah, I guess the model could be used a an indicator of the impedance. Thats why I'm really wanting to get a NanoVNA V2 to give me some real life numbers.

Re: DIY Arduino Midi Controller for SDRC Evolved
May be you have to load also MIDIUSB.h library.
What kind of arduino do you use?
My sketch is for MICRO, that is USB native.

Hello Andrea, I have tried some of the examples in the library and I get the same error, I have made a query to the author of the library

I'm thinking about the error message you've got.
Let me a little of time :-)

Re: Possible bug in 3.0.24 RSP1A
It should be easy enought for anyone with a rspa1a to verify, just set 9 and close, open , does it still show 9 or does it default back to 7.
But maby not a bug, it might just be the deafult "safe"

have a look at G4CQM's coaxial dipole, does away with the requirement for balun, maybe just add a Tonna ¼wave half loop on the feeder https://qsl.net/g4cqm/wave_antennas/DIPOLES.html

Those are free space numbers. I don't think modeling will tell you as much about VSWR in any given installation as you would want. It is very sensitive to the surroundings like

Multiple instances / external radio
Hi,
is there a way to store the configuration/settings for the external radio (ie."mute on transmit") for each instance?
Atm I am running 2 instances, if I change a external radio-setting on one

Coincidentally I recently built this quick and dirty 8 element Yagi for 434 MHz. I used pieces of 14 gauge wire for the elements, coat hangers would have been better

Brian,
That's the way!
Use straightened coat hangers, I'd bet you would find it very difficult to prove a "proper" antenna was better.
