Hello, I'm new to HF and VHF listening.
I have spent many hours trying to find/decode any RTTY stations that transmit in English, just so that I get an idea of what the results would look like. I'm

Re: Low noise floor
Yes, but David probably got it right.
Either a bad flash or the wrong file may well give a low noise floor. I think calibration would not unless set to a possibly impossible value.

Look at settings. A bad ppb value will not do what you see.

PS to Alan - if the calibration is somehow fooed up reflashing will not fix it.

hfplus_fw.exe is your secret weapon. But, you have to read FLASH.bat to see what it is doing and play with the sdrsharp config file to enable airspy hf debugging.
First figure out how hfplus_fw.exe

I would first check that the Pre-Amp, Attenuator and AGC settings are all the same as before.
The new firmware might have changed the default settings.

Re: Low noise floor
Francesco,
If the noise floor is low then perhaps flashing again is required. I do not think loss of calibration would not affect the noise level.

If the problem persists try flashing again.

Re: Win 10 update of 6/12 killed audio SDR Console ONLY
Win 10 version 2004 has a modified sound mixer in sound settings. Input and output levels are more easily accessed.
In your case the defaults need to be set correctly.
Thanks Steve m0zeh

Hi,
Support for 3.07 (the newer SDRplay API) will be in 3.0.24, I may release 3.0.24 later this week. 3.0.24 intelligently determines the installed SDRplay software and adjusts accordingly.
