Re: SDR FM DXing
WE can but wish!
The Elad S2 is probably the best compromise between bandwidth and performance, being 16 bit.
Here, I find the SDR Plays struggle with overload on Band 2.

Re: SDR FM DXing
Hi,
For < $200 you can have:
high quality/narrow bandwidth, or
good quality/wide bandwidth.
I ask Youssef every day for HF+ with 20 MHz bandwidth. He just laughs š !

SDR FM DXing
Hi,
Having different SDR receivers in the market and regarding FM DXing... Is there any opportunity to have an AirSpy HF+ with a wider spectrum for FM DX? The actual 768 Khz bandwidth is not very

i do not use headphones but active speakers ... and do not want the echo
the pluto now is so stable that i just set the finetuning once ... and when the pluto is transceive ... it stays

Re: Pluto TX 'Bursting'
Hi Sigi,
Why do you use simplex and not full duplex with the Pluto ?
When you start transmission (going form RX to TX) I also noticed a kind of ālong hissā until your modulation comes

A Quick Thank You Simon!
I'm new to this group, and SDR in general, although I've been into radio for 50+ years. Being an engineer and programmer, I am really in awe for the fortitude and time that Simon puts into SDR

Re: Pluto TX 'Bursting'
i still need v mix ...
a short first tx burst when switch from rx to tx... is surpressed if you set a short tx on time delay (then it does not get trough the pluto to pa)
that test

LimeSDR USB Output Power drops 30dB
When I first start the software and transmit CW (TX calibration "off", no TX offset) I see power output levels that I would expect. I'm transmitting at ~50MHz into a 30dB attenuator and then a 10 dB

Re: Pluto TX 'Bursting'
Hi,
Iāve been working on this problem today; someone who had bursting now has none!
I plan to release 3.0.8 tomorrow.

Re: CW Offset
Carl,
That makes more sense since you're make the adjustment with your control software. Thanks for clarifying.

Re: CW Offset
No. I'm just saying how my software solves this as a suggestion to Simon. It's how to code this situation.

Re: CW Offset
Carl,
Perhaps you can reply with an example of your filter setting and I'll try that as an interim solution. Thanks!

Re: CW Offset
Paul,
I've noted this issue, FWIW the CW filter is designed to be symmetric around the center frequency, so if the center frequency is 500Hz then the filter is OK up to 100Hz; above 1000Hz the logic

No. The filter is adjusted so that it goes from zero to the hi end but not centered on the signal. The normal thing would be for the filter to go below zero if it is centered on the signal but

Re: CW Offset
Carl,
But then doesn't the true frequency display shift by the amount of the offset? I suppose that's a temporary fix but certainly an annoyance.
