David, Did you check the Mic permissions in Win10 as I suggested, I don't know why it should matter but I found that without applications being given access to the Mic I got the exactly the symptoms

Funcube Dongle PP is detected but fails to switch on with Win 10. This is with both SDR Console and SDR Sharp. Error messages displayed by both programmes. Dongle works fine on Win 7 with both
