Re: NOAA satellite reception
I am coming in in the middle of this, but if it is the old GOES birds, I use a Discone, and it works very well.

OK,

Re: Shack Design for EMI/RFI Reduction
Quick question. Is this good enough or do I need much tighter wrapping? I suppose tighter won't hurt a USB cable like it would coax to the antenna. Thanks.

The charger is plugged into the 12v socket all the time and by itself I get no interference at all But as soon as I plug the USB cable into any device I have trouble hearing FM and it wipes out AM

Hi,
No logs at the moment please, will not be coding much over the weekend.
What bandwidth are you using?
Any Wi-Fi in the links?
Have you increased the buffer size in the Client?

Re: Lime SDR Mini - Odd Two Peak Pattern on Many Frequencies
Thanks, Simon. Will do.
I also suspect it's overheating. I left it on the WX frequencies about and it was fine. I just checked and now it's all noise. The signal history log has it going to noise

Re: Automobile Cell Phone Charger RFI (followup)
I haven’t seen a usb charger that didn’t take out my radio in my BMW X5. Great idea to use a SDR and console in the car. I may take a look at my situation but does anyone recommend a usb charger
