Nice piece of kit, When will we see these things at affordable prices? I guess about 10-15 years as inflation / supply and demand brings earnings up in line with the price of these.

Apparently, I did not have the audio enabled on VFO A. I was only running the bottom screen at the time so as to not take up too much of the display on my laptop. In the

1580 is "old"??? Where do I get something newer? The download site lists 2.1 build 1580 as the latest beta. No sign of 1608 that I can see.

First and foremost, upgrade to latest Beta SDR-Radio V2, as 1580 is now "fairly way old" and superseded by the likes of Build 1608a, etc.
You may find the problem solved by doing
