SDR_Radio server from b357 to last crash, only b277 is OK

ic8pof

GN, as I am using the SDR_server b277 since first use of my SDR_IQ radio
I didnt try other versions.
Tonight wanting to give a try also to the new servers I have tried all those I have in my SDR_Radio folder,
but all the servers from b357 upward I have crash.
The only server working OK is b277.

console b379 crashes if Digital Decoder is OFF

ic8pof

GN, as experienced by others also to me the console crashes if the Digital-Decoder is OFF.
When DD is started before the START connection is depressed then the program runs OK.

Re: Tuning Help

Mike

Hi Simon,

I don't see that "Zoom" changes the displayed location except in the zoom window.  It would be nice to have an option like SpectraVue where if you mouse click on a signal in the spectrum or waterfall windows, that signal is now centered of the spectrum window ("Demod Frequency - Ins" versus "Center Frequency - Ins").  Maybe even a better solution would be to simply add a small button between the "A" and the "M" (memory) buttons that is "C" for center current frequency in window?

As long as I'm weighing in, a "Lock" button would be nice addition to prevent inadvertent changing if one is not actively tuning but rather listening on a single frequency.

Finally, it would be nice to enter an offset to the computer clock so that UTC time is displayed.

Again, thank you for all you do on this and your other projects.  You get an amazing amount accomplished and your products are creative and functional.

Is there a way to make the current frequency the new center frequency in the spectrum/waterfall window? I must be missing something?

Thanks for the help.

Hi,

In theory it should be backwards compatible, if you find it has exploded just let me know and I'll fix it.

So: no, no need to update although I would always update when a major release comes out - these are just 'little appetisers' for now :)

I hadn't updated SDR Console since the original release.

Wow!  What a change!  Works great here on my XP desktop.  Wonderful options, screens, etc.  You are incredible.

Made a fatal error in checking the 'auto start' button. Now it attempts to come on immediately, presents the problem as indicated but I cannot turn off the 'auto start', nor do I have the "Data decode" feature set to on. I attempted to re-install hoping that the 'auto start' would go to default 'off' but apparently the earlier setting is preserved so no luck there.

I will delete and return to the version 377 for now....

Re: Build 379

It appears that if I turn on the "Data decoder" prior to starting the radio, it works as expected. Still have poor AM demodulation but can copy AM using SSB. I am now listening to it and as long as I keep the "Data decoder" on it is happy. Without it the issue described earlier persists. I do need to correct part of it: The program appears to load OK but when 'Turned On' shows the 'circling icon' but the radio does not play.

You have access control. If set on the lowest level

shop, because our LAN didn't work. If I understood anything, the problem
was that after replacing modem & switch with the new modem&router I had
two routers. Now the new router was swiched to a non-router position,
but still the remote connection didn't work. I have two firewalls,
Windows 7 and secondary. I had re-checked the secondary for port no.
7900, but not Windows. For some reason it had made a new entry for
SDR-server and blocked it, without alerting anything!? I see now six
entries in Windows firewall SDR-Radio and for another application
virtually TENS of entries, apparently it creates a new entry each time I
switch on the computer. Looks like there's a bug in Windows 7-64, does
anyone know about this?

Best regards,

Mauno

Thank you Simon, Rafael and Jim for advice. I took the router to the shop, because our LAN didn't work. If I understood anything, the problem was that after replacing modem & switch with the new modem&router I had two routers. Now the new router was swiched to a non-router position, but still the remote connection didn't work. I have two firewalls, Windows 7 and secondary. I see now six entries in Windows firewall SDR-Radio and for another application virtually TENS of entries, apparently it creates a new entry each time I switch on the computer. Looks like there's a bug in Windows 7-64, does anyone know about this?

As I am in the office, I cannot remember the port number now....
I know I went into some hairs pull when I set up my modem.

Today I replaced my ADSL modem with a newer ADSL2+ Annex M type
modem to
improve my connection's upload speed, but now I see that when I start
remote server application, my receiver is shown with the yellow
notation
mark on http://www.sdr-radio.com/OnAirServers.aspx

is not OK. Can anyone please advise what I should do to get the
connection work. It worked OK till yesterday.
