Thanks to all who responded. I did install Chrome Remote Desktop a few days ago and all was fine until a strange event tonight.

1. I have chrome desktop open on my desktop.
2. My Android app is closed.
3. Just arrived at San Francisco Airport and was texting my wife.
4. A text message showed up with no sender name or avatar.
5. The message came to both of us.
6. The message was some guy helping a friend with Chrome Remote Desktop.

So any ideas what in the world is going on?

Today, I got one of those pop up messages about some virus infecting the computer, but not from Defender or Malwarebytes. Ii looked like some phony website with the treats of God..

I ran Malwarebytes scan and all was reported well.

Thanks,

Simon.

This is how our meadow (ex lawn) looks at this time of the year.
The variety of the flowers shift throughout the season.
Closest to the photographer we have cut the tall grass with a scythe so other plants can come instead.
It is still only the second summer and we expect it to mature year by year. We have been told that it will take a few years to be as rich on different plants as it can be.

Why go through all the trouble of remote desktops when SDRC has a built in server function? It doesn't run on Iphones or Droids, but Windows PC's only. You can make it private (only you and select users) or public, like my 13 SDR's and 5 servers at various locations on various antennas. For a list of servers, check out:

There is a little problem we have in this area, fires - very large fast moving fires. It seems this area breeds fires and its native landscape has evolved to actually use the fires in their reproductive cycles. With the water scarcity there is a big push for drought tolerant (native) landscaping but somehow with magic to avoid the fire danger. Eeebgh!

At the EME QTH we have made a meadow out of the lawn after two visits of wild boar.
Could hardly walk the lawn after those visits, so we decided to make a meadow with all the wild herbs, flowers and grass that insects love.

you have to use a rev c/d ... and do some "hacking" in the pluto to make it think it has a different rx tx chip inside

log in with putty then

fw_setenv attr_name compatible
fw_setenv attr_val ad9361        .....  (was ad9364 before)

fw_setenv compatible ad9361

fw_setenv mode 2r2t           ... (sets pluto to 2x 30.72MSPS sample rate instead of 1x 61.44MSPS)

reboot

... no idea what you have to change inside console (up downsampling filters etc) ...

greetz sigi dg9bfc

ps lower samping rates still show lower output power on the pluto ... could you add some "gain" on lower rates so that max power is the same in all bw??

Hi Simon.
When / if you start to look into the Dual Channel SDR's and the AFE822X LAN in particular, would it be possible to add both the AFEDRI LAN and the AFE822x LAN to the drop down list in the "Add" dialogue window?
See attached schreenshot.
As of today the PlutoSDR, the RFspace series and the SDR MK1.5 Andrus are in the list. It is a very neat way to add a LAN SDR and other LAN interface SDR should benefit from it.
I have had difficulties to find my AFEDRI at some occasions when setting it up in a new instance / identity.
It is especially pronounced when connecting to a remote site over the Internet. When the correct data is in place there's no problem to reach it.

Maybe you can also support the new pluto version with 2 rx tx sockets??
I do know that in your soft you select the antenna port a... Now just make it user setable so we can also use port b..

Will test when available :-)

Mostly I power the AFE822X from the PC having both the USB and Ethernet cabling attached.
It does not seem to do any harm and I can switch between Ethernet and USB communication very easily.

BTW Good thinking wrt the lawn and garden. I applause you move!
At the EME QTH we have made a meadow out of the lawn after two visits of wild boar.
Could hardly walk the lawn after those visits, so we decided to make a meadow with all the wild herbs, flowers and grass that insects love.
Now we have plenty of bees, bumblebees, butterflies etc. etc. there. And all the flowering to look at all summer long.
Most other vegetation on our lot is chosen with the bees in mind. And, ease of gardening :-)

That’s great. Shows he enjoys your company and attention. He wants you to have a good time too. He wants to get you away from your workbench and have some fun!

George probably has multiple vfos open and can’t decide which one to concentrate on.

I do have a variable voltage PSU I can use - it normally powers my QO-100 amp @ 24 volts.

I used a 7808 regulator plus 2 capacitors to create 8 Volt supply
voltage. I didn't dare to use 12Volt.
