Re: Transferring definition files

Siegfried Jackstien

Would be nice if it would be possible to have ONE EXPORT FILE with ALL settings saved. Transfer to new pc, install new console, import config file.
But there are things in user files, inifiles and the registry... And here comes the problem.
If all could be saved in one big user ini to import on new pc, to reinstall after a hdd crash, then it would be much easier to maintain a remote station, or help others to setup their console.
I have setup a few dozen stations...
For Newbies with a Pluto...Remote via teamviewer
With a single ini it would be done in minutes. Doing all by hand takes hours.
Sadly i have not found the Button "Import user ini".... Grin

Is it possible to transfer my SDR definition files from my old PC (running Ver 3.0.26) to the new Ham PC (running ver 3.1)        My actual SDR is remotely located 8 miles away and still works fine via the old PC but the new PC with 3.1  does not have the Definition files created for my remote SDR.
or is there an easier way to transfer SDRC entirely from 1 PC to another?

GM Simon.. you can tell I am not very good at this . I dont know which files contain the definitions for my Remote SDR that I need to copy from the old pc to the new pc. The SDR is an SDRPlay RSPdx but I dont know the name of the Definition file to look for. I guess I don't know what to look for or where the folder is that contains the definitions.

Nice website Simon. Congrats.

What is the very slim and neat (crank-up?) mast that you use that's shown with the 70cms beam and also your current 4m antenna? I'm always interested in un-guyed mast solutions, probably like yourself to keep visual impact down.

Re: SDRC V3.1 with Win11

Go to: C:\Program Files\SDR-Radio.com (V3)\x64

Run the files there to get redistributables installed. Start with the current ones: VC_redist.x64 and VC_redist.x86. If that still fails use the other two.

Using a $23USD Baofeng didn't work out so well for this unlicensed user, as well as other RU commanders who
decided to use analog radios in a conflict:
