Will the users also be able to control the rotation of the 3D waterfall?  Like drag it with the mouse or position it precisely by typing in a specific angle and elevation?

WOW!  Very nice!  It is looking fantastic.  This is going to look great, I can only imagine what it will look like integrated into SDRConsole.

Great work so far, I'm very excited.

Re: Dead Andrus

Hi,

There’s not much I can do – the Andrus just pretends to be a NetSDR. Maybe time for a replacement – SDRplay / Airspy / Winradio…

About the time the Andrus failed I was examining the code associated with control of the Andrus to see if I could identify how to switch from Aerial A to Aerial B. I wonder if I closed a text reader and inadvertently changed the code.

This may have been a coincidence. I re-installed an earlier version of the console but it may be possible the file wasn’t corrected.. if indeed I changed it?

I have a second computer with the console installed so I might try that before I proceed.

After I got the Andrus I needed to swap the LAN chip which had gone short circuit. The new chip worked fine but I may have missed fully soldering all of its pins. I guess the LAN chip receives the data from the receiver but does that connection share control data? If control from the console is working correctly then that would disprove that idea.

Another possibility is lightning has damaged the front end (Channel A) which is an LMH6514 chip. Is it possible to change to Channel B input to check this hypothesis? Otherwise, if the LMH6514 is indeed dead would the processor still read noise and drive the console?

I don’t believe it’s a firewall problem Simon.

More tests needed but its looking like a really nasty hardware fault.

Time to dig out the circuit diagram and an oscilloscope unless there’s an Andrus diagnostic program?

I wonder if Andrus Aaslaid still listens into this forum or may another Mk1.5 user can help?

My Andrus SDR was working quite happily in my workshop, connected via my LAN until recently when it just stopped.
Attached is the logfile from today.
The thing is powered via its USB connector and everything appears to work except there's no signal passed to SDR Console.
Any ideas?

Re: V3 frequency change via scroll wheel?

Kriss Kliegle KA1GJU

Negative. If I understand your question correctly.
Scroll  wheel tuning only active while actively scrolling. Tuning occurs in the steps set in the Mode panel (v3.0.26? and later) of the DSP panel or under Tools, Options, Tuning. Not a hold down and continuous frequency change button.

Long-term user with pleasure of both Console V2

is unable to be continuously changed via the scroll

I have documented clothes washer RFI from my own Whirlpool Duet washer (2007? Vintage). That varies with speed of the rotor, this is QRM is much more stable vs variable speed washing machine RFI.

Now that the Sun is up earlier, I am up earlier too. I found the QRM again (S-9 at 16kHz spacing) on Super Stations #1, #2, & #3. Last summer I tracked it down to what I believe is the source, a home +500 away from Super Station #1's antenna (nearest antenna), +600' from #3's, +800' from #4's and +900' from #5's.
Starts in the upper 4MHz band and is noticeable all the way up to 14Mhz. The worst is in the 5 MHz region at S-9 (not a true reading due to using a non calibrated RXR!).
The RFI occurs only in the early AM, 0545-0630 or so with intermittent pauses of 5-10 minutes during the ~45 minutes.
Could also be a washing machine with variable speed drive. See if the 45 minute cycle length is consistent.
