3.0.27 Preview Receive DSP Panel #bug

dniedermayer55@...

Hi,

the Receive DSP Panel is acting weird in 3.0.27 Preview.
Sections can not be expanded correctly using the small arrow buttons.

Tested with Adalm Pluto and SDR-Play RSP2.
Something seems to be messed up here...

Keeping Tuned Freq in Center

Gedas

I am not sure if I saw this option or not but where can I enable the tuned frequency to remain (display) in the middle of the pan display as I tune around with the mouse scroll wheel? I have looked in the options window several times but keep missing it. TU

I would like to put forward the idea of adding a separate satellite tracker that would not require SDR Console to be open (like Simon's World Map but with satellite tracking). It could still be able to control direct tuning of RX or TX freq's in SDR Console or could also be used in tandem with other SDR programs. In my honest opinion your satellite tracker is the cleanest of all that I have come across.

Could use a few more suggestions. The Behringer CMD PL-1 DJ Controller appears to be no longer available, anywhere, unless you want to pay between $250-370 USD used on Amazon. eBay, no. Found one in NZ for about $180 USD.

Hi Bob,

One way to change the visible displayed spectrum is to use the Frequency scale at the bottom. You can set the displayed bandwidth by
moving the High or Low handles (green arrows). You can move the complete displayed bandwidth by grabbing anywhere in the highlighted
ares (blue arrow).

Hello Max. Thank you kindly for replying to my question. You were the only person. I really like this program and it was just something that I was hoping to be able to do. I understand when there is just one hard working developer trying to put out 1000 fires.

BTW, I stayed up till 3:30 AM after I got hooked listening for NDB's <g>. It was a lot of fun and reminded me of how much fun I had as a SWL 50 years ago with my SB313 hi-hi. TU agn 73 !

Hi Gedas

There is no scanner on SDRC yet. It is on Simon's "to-do" list. Think he said may possibly be added later this year.

As a sort of temporary alternative, you can set up multiple receivers and even view them all simultaneously in the Receiver Matrix, then use squelch to silence inactive channels. You can have up to 24 receivers running simultaneously, and groups of 24 can each be stored as a "Favourite". To store batches of frequencies Favourites is a lot more powerful than Memories in the parameters they store:

https://www.sdr-radio.com/Favourites

Sorry, I know it's not the answer you wanted, but Simon is just one person and SDRC is a truly brilliant program for SDRs. The truth is that possibly the majority of users of SDRC (I'm going by the average type of question asked in the Forums) are radio amateurs using it for transceive operations, so scanner possibly not highest on list of the average user's priorities, but it's worth hanging around as new features are added all the time.

Done, but a plain text file, with the cumulative updates, would be far smaller and more easily searchable. SDR# does this, as do many other programs. On the other hand, having the embedded screen-shots is a bonus.

Hello,
Thank you.
Appreciate your taking the time very much.

My age problem now:

So, what/where is the proper or best  button or slider that only changes the visible Span in the Spectrum view, without changing anything else ?

Yes, I believe you. Seems to be that mfc120u.dll was missing (SDRFFT.dll depends on it).

So copying this .dll from the v3.0.25 folder, now this new version starts!

Bandwidth = Radio bandwidth, what the radio returns.

Span is whatever you want to display.

Hello,

Bandwidth is always a bit confusing to me.

Might someone please explain for me the difference between
"Bandwidth" in the /Home menu, and the "Bandwidth" option
that comes up by clicking on the small keyboard iconn at the bottom-right of the screen ?
(the Radio Frequency screen that appears)

If I jus want to change the Spectrum SCAN that is showing, without changing
anything else, which, or what, do I do ?  [without using the Zoom vertical slider]

Thanks,
