No Pressure, but ...

david

I had this WinRadio G31DDC sitting on a shelf for a couple of years. (I fell out with WinRadio's sales model of forcing customers to buy EVERY part of the receive/decode chain from them. Then, I got used to software from a more responsive source). A couple of days ago, I exhumed the radio to help out another listener with a settings issue, and I was reminded how clunky the WR interface is.

This mail-list (and the SDRC website) says that the G31 is covered by issue 3.0.27, but the latest version to download is ...26

I'm a bit late for a test-kit, and I can wait for the 'real deal'. But, is there a planned release date? I have Beer Vouchers, if that helps 😉

Best Wishes

Hello,

I just tested SDR Console with the Elad Duo, including TX features; generally it works (still finding out the details)

I tried to run the Server and access it from another SDR console in the LAN: it doesn’t seem to work.

Same Server/client setup with an RSP Duo works fine.

Any Remote limitations on the Elad Duo TX functionality ?

Appears to work for other folks,  numerous servers were busy yesterday. I can see the blinking lights on the SDR-iq while passing through kitchen since Super Station #1 is on the XYL's laptop in the kitchen 'nook'.

Which one was giving you problems?

Hi Simon,

Nice to hear that.
I have a G33DDC. If you are ready, send me the Download Link.

And,

The G33DDC works! I have to add the Preamp and Preselector option, then I’ll be asking for testers.

Kriss,

Does the station stream data to you? I can now connect, select a radio but it doesn’t stream.

Went and climbed tower to hang a side mount 2m/70cm vertical for Super Station #4 (has four SDR's, 3 of which are VHF/UHF capable) since it was only 48f/9c and light winds. Made a trip over to HRO and picked up an HF/VHF&UHF diplexer, and on the way home I thought about the Stridesburg Engineering Multicoupler that's also inline. Turns out the multicoupler has massive loss on the VHF/UHF spectrum, so I ended up installing it on Super Station #1 and #2. So if you use #1 or #2, there is a VHF/UHF antenna, but inside the attic of the house. Of course lots of QRM, probably from the ADB Raspberry Pi server running up there. If you want a 'wicked' good VHF/UHF server, use Super Station #4. That's a Diamond X-200 up at +60 on the tower, on a 243' hill. The APRS digipeater on a nearby antenna tends to overload it (5 watts only), but it's TX rate is rather low to reduce QRM on the hill.

Enjoy!

Hi,

The 7610 isn’t supported, you’ll have to use HDSDR.

Are there instructions on how to use SDR-Radio/console with an Icom IC7610 without utilizing an SDRPlay device?  I am currently running HDSDR software and my Icom IC7610 by simply connecting the computer running HDSDR with a USB cable connected to the rear of the IC7610.  Thank you for any assistance.  de Larry, NA4DX

Well, that might seem like what they are until an engine loses its cool and blows off its cowling. Then the pilots earn their big bucks. They got it down, by the book, with no lose of life or even injuries.

I hope so. It's just a pity that the people who do the Thermal Acoustic Inspection on the fan blades didn't assume that the problem areas they saw were down to bad paint application before the test process, the failed blade from 2018 had been TAI'd in 2010 and 2015 and shown abnormal results on both occasions (worse in 2015 too) but was passed safe for flight and put back in service, 3 years later it failed half an hour out of Honolulu (same route) at ToD.

One other small amusement, the incident aircraft this weekend was N772UA, its replacement used for the delayed flight was N773UA which was the aircraft which had the No2 engine failure in February 2018 as a result of this testing inadequacy.

Now, back to radio.

Waaay OT, but some years ago a couple of pilots flew in from EU to train on a group of simulators at the Wichita, Kansas airport.  A guy in a private plain had engine problems on take off and 'dead center' crashed into their simulator.  Got to be careful playing games!  I always wanted to put monitors on one of my rabid contest associates.  N0UU
